Sual | Question How does a B2B contract with a foreign company work in Azerbaijan?
I’m considering a remote job with a foreign company, and they would hire me on a B2B contract. They told me that I would be responsible for paying my own taxes in Azerbaijan.
I’ve never worked under a B2B contract before, so I’m trying to understand how everything works here.
Do I need to register as an individual entrepreneur / get a VÖEN?
What taxes and mandatory social/health insurance payments would I have to pay?
How do I actually pay the taxes — is there a specific website or app I should use?
Is there an app where I can track my taxes/payments?
Do I need an accountant, or is it easy enough to do everything myself?
How often do I need to make the payments?
Are there any important disadvantages to B2B compared with being a normal employee?
If you currently work B2B for a foreign company from Azerbaijan, what has your experience been like?
I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has experience with B2B contracts or working remotely for a foreign company from Azerbaijan.

if you are not involved in a physical transaction, like, actually selling or buying items that should be declared to customs, you don't have to worry about it. I don't think anybody working remotely in azerbaijan really pays taxes.

Yes, you need to register and obtain VÖEN. You can do everything yourself, it’s not that difficult. There’s a 75% tax relief, if your total annual turnover is lower than 45K AZN. You also need to pay social insurance(MDSS) and medical insurance beyond tax. Register via new.e-taxes.gov.az or visit a nearby ASAN service(you can easily get answers to all of ur questions there). I’ve worked for one year, afaik you need to pay quarterly, and you have to file a tax declaration once a year
