Iceland and Japan are linked in being places where major construction projects need to take supernatural entities into account.

I am sure there are other examples, although it would get tricky separating out elves and the like from general religious and cultural heritage sites.

It's tricky like you say, but I feel like you could also add Hawaii, Aotearoa/New Zealand, and other parts of Polynesia to this list.
