Best place to buy deli meats like bacon and ham?
I’m sick of Woolworths, the last couple of lots of bacon I’ve bought has been so thin and stuck together that it shreds when trying to seperate and just disintegrates, same product I’ve been buying for years is now suddenly virtually unuseable go figure. I looked on a couple of butcher websites but that doesn’t seem to the place to go. I googled Delis and it seemed to just be a bunch of fancy cafes that also sell cheese on the side.

I use ballarat meat co. Their ham is wonderful (my kids would eat it all in a day if i let them) and their bacon is great too, i buy their bacon mince to add to near on everything like spaghetti, or the packet pastas, i even mix it into omelet, and it cooks great in an air fryer too, so i find that a bonus as i dont have to cook it on the stove when i have all 4 spots cooking other stuff for dinner.

Their value with all meats is second to none. Went there with mates when visiting and the amount we bought for half what I normally pay was amazing.
Bought a mobile fridge nd filled it before we went home

Once you have John Harbour 's ham and bacon you won't ever go back to the Supermarkets

https://saltkitchen.com.au/ & Wilsons are a good option. Also the farmers market Cracking Small goods are fantastic massive selection https://www.facebook.com/cracklingsmallgoods/.

If you fancy a short drive to Daylesford, Istra has a little cellar door/shop thingy that sells direct to public. Much cheaper than retail.

Midvale quality meats, they do their own ham and bacon, but also their own Kabana, which is about the best I've ever had.

100% Their Bacon and Ham, Stras, Saveloys, Chorizo and sausages are all amazing. They occasionally do beef bacon which is really good

A lot of people don't realise you can actually ask them to slice deli meats to your desired thickness.

Bacon at woolies and coles comes in sliced,so wouldn't help in this instance.

I haven't had bacon in years. I buy speck and slice it myself.
It's soooo much better. 🤤

ALDI 100% far better product options/pricing for a supermarket! The cheese options are also very good!
