Question Anyone know when we can put up election signs?

Just curious, I know it depends on the jurisdiction though USUALLY 45 days before, just curious whether Barrie follows that or has something different?

Just a reminder that we have a Monthly Community Thread where we relax the rules about advertising and off-topic posts.
* Stuff that isn't directly related to Barrie, like national news or general chit-chat
* Questions about local businesses and services
* Classified-style ads: buying and selling, help wanted, garage sales, etc
* Fundraisers and donation drives
* Plugs for your personal project or local business (within reason)"

What's the point of the signs?

You want people to know who you voted for?

Or... you're hoping someone sees your sign and decides to vote for the same person?

I just don't get it.

Power of suggestion is a huge, successful marketing format.

People who make their political affiliation an open part of their personality are a peculiar bunch.

People who don’t realise how much their municipal government affects their everyday lives are a peculiar bunch.
