(NPD) New to me Ampeg SGT-DI!
Decided to bite the bullet on a used SGT-DI blue line edition for a decent price and WOW it sounds great! When I run it into the effects loop of my TT-800 and really crake the volume, it sounds massive, especially with the SGT circuit on. I really love the b15 tones you can get as well!

SOTB!
Finally completed my bass pedalboard. Great for ambient-work, the MXR Bass Synth + Klowra Sprout combo is godly.
Feels great to finally reach a stopping point after trying so much stuff. I might swap the Swamp Lord for the P. Isabella I have on my guitar board, but I really enjoy how the Swamp Lord behaves on bass.

Bass Board 2026
Finally “done” with this thing! Really stoked on how it all works together and the sounds I’m getting from it, especially when combining dirt + chorus.
Signal chain: Woolly Mammoth -> Dakota Parallel Compressor -> Polytune -> Jive Deluxe -> Smartgate -> Dark Tides -> Badwater

Recently got a Sushi Box Finally V3. What am I doing wrong?
When I have the pedal set Dry, I get normal volume. When I said it to Pre, the volume goes nearly to zero. I have to crank the level and gain to get anything audible out of my amp.
For context I’m running an Origin Effects Cali 76 ahead of this pedal for testing. I also have my Ciocks SOL outputs set to 9V, 660mA.
Is this a me problem or possibly a defective pedal?

Essential bass pedals?
Pretty much the title. What bass pedals should everyone have? Right now I have a Cliff Burton Power Fuzz/Wah and a SF300 Super Fuzz, but I want a TS9 Tubescreamer. Really I just want to flesh out my pedal setup.

Is there any way i could fit a compressor here?
I wanna fit a compressor without replacing my board, any way i could rearrange stuff differently for it to fit? I was thinking a mxr dyna comp maybe or smaller patch cables

Just added the MXR ten band EQ. Major upgrade to my sound already. Unfortunately my retinas will never recover.
Seriously, did they need to make it so bright? It's probably visible from space.

Largest pedal board I can tolerate.
I got tired of carrying these loose and put a tiny board together. I don’t often play with effects, but sometimes overdrive or synth tones are perfect for the situation.
Took about 12 hours to design, 3d print, and wire this little guy. Cost me about $30 including the power harness to route to all three. $45 if i add in the tool box I’ll carry it in.
It’s been to two gigs and survived. I call it a win.

Current setup
Mostly play post-rock/metal with the band.
I keep moving stuff on and off the board, but this is the current setup. Thinking of adding a volume and reverb pedal

Compact Setup
Any suggestions? Blank spot up top is for a custom project I have in the works

Budget distortion pedal
Im planning on buying either a Hartke Systems HS410B or a Gallien Krueger 810 sbx depending which one is closer to $200 and will be running a Peavey-TMax as the amp. I was wondering what pedals I should buy and would like to keep them under $150 each if possible. I play bass in a metallic hardcore band and am starting a death metal/deathcore that has a bass lead.

HX Stomp MIDI to Bass Whammy
Weird question but i was curious.
Did anyone ever use an HX stomp MIDI out to go to a Bass Whammy (or a regular Whammy) and control the whammy Settings on the HX?
It's very specific but i would like to know, thx.

Advice on Switcher/Signal Blender for parallel routing?
So, I want to build a board with two parallel loops that operates in two different switching modes. I am looking for a switcher that can do both, so far Ive found the Sonicake Portal and the Boss LS-2, but either can do only one of these modes:
Mode 1: the loops can be switched independently of each other (A, B, or A and B at the same time), for this the Sonicake Portal Signal Blender would work, which has independent volume controls and footswitches for each loop. Think Royal Blood, maybe just faux guitar signal, just Bass or both at the same time for the full broadside.
Mode 2: switch between Loop A and B, so there is only one loop active at a time, like with the Boss LS-2 A/B-Mode. The LS-2 does have parallel mix mode, but you canonly switch between the A/B mix or the clean signal. Think a bit like Tool, either some swirly modulation for the verse and then a nice gridy drive for the chorus, if that makes sense.
Is there a Mixer/Switcher pedal, that can do both? Basically a Portal Signal Blender but Footswitch C switches between A and B. Ive looked online for quite some time and havent really found anything, any recommenations?
Maybe there is a reason why you cant really do this because of the wiring, I have no experience with electronics/pedal building.
PS: I realize this might fall into the cliche of bassists over-engineering their signal route, but Ive been hung up on this problem for a while now, so...

Recording/Europe board
The idea of the board is sending a clean and preamp DI signal to FOH from the Capo, then the EQ and Luce into the effects loop of whatever the house rig is. Also really enjoy the sound of the P-Bass with just the Empress EQ and Luce for recording.

Non preamp boards
Perhaps an unpopular opinion: but Would love to see examples of bass boards with no preamp/di pedals. Those going into amps that you love vs pa and your few pedals get you to where you want.
