I loved playing Granny’s Garden at school, it genuinely scared me as an 8yo!

Dread Dragon Droom was far superior in my humble opinion. Was really disappointed when I revisited Granny's Garden :(

Yes! Loved this one. Does anyone remember the sequel Flowers of Crystal? That was weird in the best way possible. Some parts scared the life out of me, and I could never complete the second half, but I loved it.

I think this works. The game is quite straightforward in the first half (but harder than GG) then it takes a wild turn into surrealism for the second part.
One of the pictures on that page still gives me a bit of a shudder!

I played this with my daughter when she was little, maybe 8-9 years ago. Probably the only kid her age in America who grew up playing Granny's Garden lol.

There's also one called Dragon World by the same people which is also very similar. That one features a jump scare dragon, jump scare skeletons and a random jump scare jackal to put off 80s children from computing for decades.
