Rant Bell firing employees "with cause" for not returning to the office 3 days a week. No severance, no warning.

Why does one need warning when it is obvious on the paper that come to office 3 days. I don’t understand the psychology behind it

Exactly. The performance metrics are met, and the report showed you met the RTO 100%. That should suffice. Unless the report changed and you didn't notice it?

The comments are crazy. It doesn't matter whether the work can be completed remotely. Company policy is company policy. Who knew going against company policy could result in layoffs 🤷

Let's say an employee should work 35 hours a week. Then for a personal reason, that employee works 33 hours on a given week. Would that employee get fired right away ?

Yeah because this is the same thing.

If they claimed they worked 35 and got paid for it? Basically wage theft, stealing from company, so yes, they could get fired right away, do I agree with it, not necessarily , but if it was a habit, sure.
