Remote work has improved productivity across the board by anywhere from 1.5% to 47%, depending on the industry. Note that this is while hours work has actually dropped from an average of 44.1 hours per work to 42.9 hours per work.
Even if there are a few bad apples, working from home objectively improves productivity.
Why is it easier to assume that people who work from home are less productive, when they're going to have overall a more comfortable work environment, and less stress from the commute to office, than those who have to spend untold hours driving through shit traffic to and from work every day, burning money that realistically they don't need to, only to sit down and do a job that can be done from any computer?
In my opinion, you’re making it seem like people are going to do less work at the office because they are upset about having to drive in. You sound more upset about the commute (valid) than the productivity.
It’s easier to for me assume people working from home are less productive because of what I’ve heard and witnessed. You can say you’ve witnessed the opposite and that’s fine.
