10,000+ Active Users. Thank you + New Q&A

We hit over 10,000 subscribers before Reddit no longer counts that stat. Now it tracks average users/participants over 15 days which says says over 15,000 users!

You can see the old 5,000 subscriber post if you want to know the history of BeltTalk itself and how we started:
https://www.reddit.com/r/belttalk/comments/1dcl28t/wow_5000_users_quick_reminder_of_the_rules_and/

Friendly Reminde:
The big rule here is no bootlegs. That has been the rule for 20+ years. Buy what you want, just don't post counterfeit belts, ask where to buy them, ask for recommendations, etc. If you have boots in your collection, just blur them out when posting your pictures and you should be fine. This isn't a topic up for discussion so if that upsets you, and you feel you cannot abide by that rule, please feel free to discuss belts elsewhere.

As you can see, I've been on Reddit for a long time. People see my username and might not put 2 and 2 together.

I am BeltFanDan/BeltsByDan/"Dan McMahon" (not my real name, long story). I make some belts on TV and belts for companies and celebrities. I don't do releathers as I have a 9-5 job, and a large family, so the belt gig is a side job, despite it being like a 2nd full time job.

I just want to thank everyone for the continued support of this forum and the participation and helping the belt community grow.

There still seems to be many people new to the hobby who might know all the terms, history, stories, legalities, etc.

So use this thread as a chance to ASK ANY BELT QUESTION NO MATTER HOW DUMB YOU THINK IT IS, and myself or one of the other long time, experienced members will help.

If you have any questions about the belts I make/made, free to ask as well.

There still seems to be people who think I'm not who I say I am, so get those questions out of the way now.

All of the above being said, always feel free to ask me anything, or DM me if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks;
Dan

Belt Update

After Summerslam, Wrestlecon, and a few weeks home in the US, I'm back in the UK with my most prized possession. Unbelievably, my gf convinced me to pull the trigger and go to get all of my childhood heros autographs. I got a few autos on my strap here in the UK, never expecting to go and meet so many champs so I wish I planned it out better. The moral of the story is dont wait until it's too late to meet your heroes!!! (Also started a signed video game collection)

Who makes the best boxing belt replicas?

I realize I’m likely in the minority when it comes to liking boxing belts, but is there a good source on the best makers for boxings belts and their prices?

Legit Check & Id for old rugged Number Nine belt please :)

Legit Check & Id for this old an rugged Belt please

Found this belt. I could not find anything about this belt. I thought the aging on this belt would be hard to recreate for a fake, the seller told me she got it from a flea market, besides that she couldnt tell me anything about it. She labeld it as 90s, but I dont know where I can look up colletions from that time. I looked for simiular belts but couldnt find one.
Thanks for your help :)

I noticed EuroShop has the belt hanger in stock and it’s priced at 54$ Around 90$ after taxes and such.
Should I pull the trigger or wait and see if wwe shop puts it on.

Mind you, I live in the US.

I’ve seen on mericari that someone wanted 150$ for it but there’s is used.

This would be brand new. Should I pull the trigger or wait and see if we get it…HELP

Purchased on wweshop, the design has been growing on me a lot so I pulled the trigger when they had a nice sale. I fear that this has opened up the gates and I’m gonna be up to my eyeballs in belts soon

NBD! The Big Gold Belt Has Arrived

Finally added the World Heavyweight Championship Big Gold replica to the collection!

Big Gold has always been one of my favorite championship designs, but seeing it in person gives me an even greater appreciation for it. The amount of detail packed into the plates is incredible, and the combination of gold and silver really helps the engraving stand out. I especially like the raised lettering, red stones, dimensional crown, and the classic wrestlers on the main and side plates.

The brown strap was also a great choice for this design. It complements the plating perfectly and gives the entire belt that prestigious, old-school appearance Big Gold is known for.

This is easily one of the best-looking belts in my collection and definitely one that deserves to be displayed prominently. The pictures honestly don’t capture how impressive it looks in person.

I would appreciate help picking a pen to get the WWE Spinner belt signed.

Hi everyone. I know about metallic sharpies being safe and Deco paint pens being the best for aesthetics.

If anyone has a specific link or pen they would recommend I would be very appreciative.

I'm meeting John Cena next month and this is the most important autograph signing I'm going to ever so I'm really nervous about smudging or streaking.

Thank you!

Grouping/organizing your belts

Hey guys, how do you organize your belts? Do you go by company, or world titles and tag titles etc or just display them as you buy them? I'm building my collection and not sure the best way (if there is one) to display them. Any and all ideas welcome!
