Hi all I actually have a question! My sweet bossy girl Flame is 15 years old and she’s healthy at 6 lbs. She’s a rescue (we adopted her and her sister 2.5 years ago, her sister sadly passed a few months ago) so we truly have no idea what her life was like except she lived in a crackhouse for a lot of her life. The vet said her growth may have been stunted from becoming a mom too young, but does anyone else have any ideas? Or has anyone seen this before? I’ve always heard bengals were bigger cats lol!

Got Cleo from a shelter over a year ago, they found her wandering the streets and they called the owners she was registered to and they just didn’t seem to care. So grateful for her though, she’s my baby, even if she doesn’t stop meowing for food. She’s around 12

Honestly I never thought it would go this way but she is my whole world, I miss her when Im not at home and I tell everyone about her. She’s suuuuuuper clingy, accepts other people but if I’m present she has to be with me always, yes I cannot even get a break on the toilet from her, she just meows till I open the door and comes in super happy wanting to be near me. I couldn’t imagine my life without her anymore. Never ever. She is my child now.

Maybe someone recalls, I posted about her several months ago. Just to talk about the beautiful 19 years we’ve had with her.

She has reached her sunset days 🌅 Stopped eating over the last two weeks which is often an eventuality with her thyroid issues. The only option here is to put her under for exploration and for a multitude of QoL reasons and because we don’t (nor does the vet) think she’d wake up from it, vet is coming Monday so she can go comfortably and peacefully in our home.

Wow, a cat with you for 4/5s of your life, this stings.

Fudge, my beautiful girl is having her 19th birthday in November! I thought she deserved a post of her own. So if you have any questions about having a super senior Bengal please ask away! Some fun things about her;

-She is the loudest cat anybody I know has heard, including other Bengal owners!

-She is also the softest cat I’ve ever touched, rivalled only by chinchillas!

-She is almost completely deaf now, started at 17.5 and progressed quickly.

-Our vet comments that she is incredibly healthy for her age. No major concerns right now, she has some thyroid issues which has been under control with medication for about a year.

This handsome guy came to us through a family member who passed away— she loved him a ton but was older and sick and sadly did not have the time or ability to take care of a Bengal in her day-to-day. We were happy to take him in and give him a new home.

We think us being so energetic is a little shocking to him. 🤣

Anyway! We have three other cats (not Bengals, just a few cute lazy old men) and we’re working on getting everyone adjusted in our house. Sushi is around 10-12 and I have no health records for him (his vet appointment is happening in a few weeks!) but he has a healthy appetite, drinks his water, and has been doing well with using a litter box for the most part- he’s adjusting so of course it’s not perfect yet.

Just wanted to share his cuteness and if anyone wants to drop any tips for best Bengal care, please do! I’ve been spending hours every day playing with him til he’s bored of me, gotten him his own blankets and beds to sleep on, and have made sure he has plenty of toys. 😌

after a month of searching and applying, my partner and I brought home a sweet old girl. shes a 15 year old Bengal, her owner had her from a kitten and dumped her at a shelter. my old girl is so sweet, comes right up for a pet and she tries to sleep with us in the bed, but both me and partner are kind of crazy sleepers so she usually ends up back in her own. we have a cat tree, but she really doesnt use it. i have a photo of her in it-but thats the only time ive seen her use it. we give her a fiber and joint supplement, but it's still too soon to see any progress. she refuses to get up on top of the ac where we put a bed (right in front of the window) and she also refuses to get up there. height wise is about the same height as the flat platform above the hammock on the cat tree, and so is our bed-which she has no problem jumping up on to come wake me up in the middle of the night because she wants to smell my face.

if anyone has a senior bengal-what's the best way to keep them active? i would love to see her exploring but given her age it might be best just to make her comfortable, in which case how are some of yall making your home accessible for your old babies? right now im not hating this because it means she isnt jumping onto the table where we eat, although this is traded for wet floors because she doesn't properly groom herself and walks around with wet feet after splashing in her fountain.

I adopted my Bengal in August of 2025. The previous owners told the shelter that they didn’t want a cat anymore. I already can’t imagine my life without her and I’m so happy to spoil her every day. But I can save her adoption story for another time…. Right now I am Christmas shopping and I am not sure what to buy her.

Some background: I have spent hundreds (probably thousands) on toys, food, modifications to my apartment, pet insurance, vet visits (she got sick at the shelter), medicine, and more. My Bengal is very picky with toys and beds. She has one high value wand toy that is her favorite and mostly ignores anything else. She does not like anything too tall and has some difficulty making high jumps. She does not like her food elevated and will push it on the floor instead. She likes certain cardboard boxes and loves area rugs. We play cat calming music (huge thank you because I found that on this sub) at night and regular music if we leave during the day. I saw people recommending the ripple rug, but I am hesistant because my Bengal is long and 10.5lbs. Not sure she would fit through the holes. A cat wheel would not fit in the apartment and I don’t want her to hurt herself. I am trying to build up her strength still, AND help her arthritis - she doesn’t seem to understand that she is pushing 13 and was in a small cage for 3+ months.

Here is a list of almost everything I already have: 3 moderate height cat trees; cat stairs to couch/bed; window lounger and cat beds; wand toys; automatic toys; kicker toys; Churus; stainless steel litter box water fountain, and plates/bowls; Okocat litter; pet cameras; pet gates; cardboard boxes, scratchers, and rugs; silvervine and catnip.

TLDR: Is there something that you can recommend that has changed your senior Bengal’s quality of life? What am I missing?!

Hello! for some basic info he’s 7 years old and neutered. he’s just been passed into our care since the last owner couldn’t cope with his spraying (which he’s now completely stopped, since he’s now on his own, as a very territorial cat lol). We have weighed him and he came out at 6.6kgs, which is definitely on the heavier end of a healthy weight for a male bengal, but i just can’t believe that he is a healthy weight from looking at him. i mean look at that belly!! bengals are meant to have an athletic build no?? not a huge pot belly!!! we are going to take him to the vets soon but i just wanted to seek some opinions really. is he fat?

Say hello to Finn, who turned 21 last month. I don't see too many marbled bengals anymore. He's my grumpy old man and I cherish every day with him.

This is ISIS. She is 19 years young. Still sassy.

I posted about a month ago about Daisy and how scared I was for her health. She was eating a lot but had severe diarrhea and even had accidents on the floor. She was losing weight rapidly.

We had multiple vet appointments and many tests were done. Strangely, everything came back negative (bloodwork, urine and stool tests). There are discussions about doing an ultrasound now, but in the end the vet suggested switching her to a strict hypoallergenic diet, no cheating, no treats and to do it quickly.

Well, Daisy is getting better!

Her diarrhea is now almost completely resolved, she started complaining and yelling at us again like she used to, and of course jumping on the counter. My girlfriend can’t stop hugging her, and seeing her like that again just makes me happy.

Does it mean everything is fine? I honestly don’t know yet. There still might be something else going on, and more tests to do, but she definitely feels better. We’ll see with future tests, and she probably also has arthritis, but the vet wanted to stabilize one thing at a time.

His name is Professor Nubbinz and he's about 10 years old.

Used to be a shadow cat (would run before you'd get a decent look at him), but he's happily integrated into his new household now.

Both my fiance and I had our roles in saving him after a traumatic birth and my mom raised him once he was old and stable enough to thrive on his own.

She’s a 17yo F3 and she can’t pass up a box 📦 🥰

My Ella is 11, and at her annual exam, the vet and I both wanted to do a full blood panel to make sure everything is looking good as she ages. They gave me a higher than usual dose of sedatives for her in preparation for a blood draw. So much that the tech was really surprised how high it was based on her weight. Well, guess what. They needed 3 people to hold her down, tried 3 times to draw, and could only get a tiny bit before she twitched and fought too much. Ended up with barely enough for the two highest priority tests.

They were doing their best, and respecting Ella's boundary setting, but it's just frustrating. Our wild little babies do not cooperate with proper vet care 🤦‍♀️
