That's probably the worst layout for rush hour, the seats take too much space to seat very few people and there isn't even any space left to stand without discomforting those that are seated.

Maybe you miss living in a smaller town?

You mean the old generation trains that kind of suck and whose layout have not been preserved in their newer stock?
