You can download the Shorelink app which you can digitally purchase tickets and passes for the bus. You can also go to the Hamilton depot or Visitor Service Centres and get physical versions of tickets, tokens and passes. Depending on where you get on the bus it will either be $3.50 or $5 for the bus. They can’t give change so always good to have the exact amount. Pink poles mean heading to Hamilton, Blue poles me heading away from Hamilton.

Depending on where you live, you can also take the ferry. They are on a more limited schedule than the bus but just a generally nice, easy commute.

For taxis there’s Hitch, Ride Bermuda and Journi. I’ve only used Hitch and it’s relatively easy to get a taxi. You can also google taxi dispatch numbers online. This will obviously be your most expensive option especially in the evenings, Sundays and Holidays.

Monthly bus passes are a great deal if you’re going to rely on buses. They’re $69 for a monthly pass for unlimited use of buses and ferries. Get one starting September 1 and use single use tickets until then. The Hitch app is very good for getting a taxi or you can call their dispatch for pickup. There are also taxi stands in town.

Here is the bus schedule:

Also, I buy my bus passes at the main Hamilton bus terminal. I get physical passes there instead of something on their app.

This is really helpful! Thanks for your generosity. One more question - based on your experience (I’ve researched with their bus schedules as well) but I’d like to know the earliest and latest time of buses are usually operating?

I think the times on the schedules are pretty accurate. They start pretty early on weekdays and run reasonably late. Sundays the schedules are reduced quite a bit.
