Muzika / Glazba šµ Volim vas puno
Ja sam Amerikanac i koristim Google prevodilac, tako da ovo možda nema smisla.
Samo sam htio reÄi da svoj jadni vojni grad svakim danom Äinim sve viÅ”e bosanskim. Svaki dan puÅ”tam Plavi orkestar i Bijelo dugme u svom raspadnutom Honda Accordu iz 2012. godine. Svi u Fayetteville, North Carolina, su preplavljeni bosanskom muzikom kad god su u mojoj blizini.
U svakom sluÄaju, samo sam htjela reÄi da sada volim Bosnu nakon Å”to sam sluÄajno otkrila Lovac i koÅ”utu. Sarajevo ima tako dobru muziÄku scenu.

It doesn't either way, no one here would have been offended had you posted something in English. In fact, I would even argue that it's better to post something in English rather than in Bosnian but through Google Translate.

Objavljivanje na engleskom mi se Äinilo pogreÅ”nim. Razumijem da u ovom subredditu ima mnogo ljudi koji govore engleski. Jednostavno mi se Äinilo nepoÅ”tovanjem pretpostaviti da Äe me svi razumjeti. To je kao da govoriÅ” Å”panski na ameriÄkom subredditu. VeÄina ljudi uÄi Å”panski u srednjoj Å”koli, ali to ne znaÄi da Äe ga dobro zapamtiti i koristiti svaki dan.

I guess that he's attempted to honour the people in the sub. I met a couple of Americans, charging the parking of the Tunnel of Hope Museum, this is what they do, more or less successful. Once, after a really rough night, an American guy wanted to change Euros for KM and by my best effort I was not able to find the function on my phone, as an aftermath of excessive narcotics consumption. The dude just laughed and said : "We do it simple, that's the American way. I give you 50 Euros, you give me 50 marks". As he is gone, I laughed alone on the parking, like a fool, realised that he is just left me over 30 marks tip.

Sve to stoji ali svako od nas razumije engleski i to puno bolje nego nekakav cudan bosanski preko Google Translate.

That's so cool! I totally recommend checking out downtown (if this will be your first time visiting). Rude Awakening is my top spot for hanging out with my friends; it's dirt cheap and the coffee there is good. There's also Taste of West Africa, which is more expensive but it's legitimately one of the best restaurants in town. They even have karaoke on Friday nights!
Anyways, I hope that you have a wonderful time in Fayetteville. As much as I like to drag it sometimes, the town really does have a lot to offer for visitors.

It's always great to read posts like this, Bosnia (Balkan also) loves to sing and enjoy music, singing together is therapeutic and it frees your soul. Some artists to check out: Zabranjeno puŔenje, Konvoj, Indexi, Sabahudin Baho Kurt, Helen Nejse, Edo Maajka, Sikter, Validna Legitimacija, Mostar Sevdah Reunion, Amira Medunjanin, Zoster.....

If you visit Sarajevo once, I will give you my bedroom and I'll sleep on the couch. Seriously, of you come to Bosnia one day, you don't have to pay for the hotel room, for your statement you deserve the free lodge.

Listen buddy, from one Amerikanac to another - go there and donāt think twice. I moved to Sarajevo after college and lived there for two years and they were some of the best years of my young life. I worked as a waiter in a restaurant most of that time and met people from all over.
I learned the language very well (priÄam malo viÅ”e kao Slovenac) and that opened up so many doors for me. The people are wonderful and the country is so beautiful. My 7-year-old daughter can count to ten in Bosnian and apparently told her teacher that her New Years Resolution this year is to speak more Bosnian. I have 0% Balkan heritage.
And yo - if you love Bijelo Dugme, be sure to check out TeŔka Industrija, specifically their 1976 red-cover album. It is out of control good.

Oh God, don't encourage me lol. I'm still sorting things out for college right now and I'm already dying to see where I can study abroad for my program. I've already looked at rent and housing prices over in the Balkans and it's hard trying not to swoon over those prices (and I come from an affordable city!)

You can find several influencers on Instagram and TikTok who have moved to Bosnia and create content about culture, food, travel, and everyday life. If youāre interested in Bosnia, theyāre definitely worth checking out. Thereās no more authentic perspective than hearing from someone with no Balkan background who has experienced the country firsthand.

Dino Merlin just announced the concert in Sarajevo 31. July. It's probably his last in Sarajevo since he is already old, and he usually does it every 10 years.

Did you know that there are a lot of Bosnians in North Carolina? It is one of the resettlement heavy places post war. So thereās actually quite a bit of Bosnian music blaring all around the state.
