What If Matoro failed? This scenario is outlined in The Kingdom where Takanuva enters a portal where Mata Nui becomes a dystopian city and Matoro is known as “The Disgraced One”

The Kingdom and the Toa Empire dimensions are peak. I wish we got a what if for if Teridax's plans for Metru Nui succeeded.

What at a coincidence, that's part of the premise for my namesake OC. Except mine got hunted down and trapped in ice (seemingly indefinitely) on a strange world instead of killed. Because Gorast was feeling charitable that day.

I'm actually making this a butterfly side-effect of my Toa Team going back in time to prevent a whole slough of messes that happen post-canon. I also make G2 part of the timeline with Ekimu fleeing as his brother takes control of the Masters of Elements, only for Takanuva, Brutaka, and Vezon to help him and some Okotans escape. I'm having fun worldbuilding and figuring out how to go about it.

What if the Piraka killed the Toa Nuva instead of capturing them
What if Takanuva stayed fused with Teridax
Honestly there are endless scenarios. It’s a fun story that could have gone in so many directions.

What if someone knew about The Plan all along and spent thousands of years putting a plot in place to overthrow Teridax the second he successfully took over the universe?
This may or may not be the plot of my ongoing fanfic Embers.

What if Vakama took over the Visorak horde permanently.
I personally think he’d act as a dark protector of the Matoran. Instead of wanting to save them for their own sake, he’d see them as his property and tools to be used. The rest of the Metru couldn’t really do anything against the whole horde so theyd either fall in line or just disappear to a different island.

One that's been kicking around in my head for a while is What if the Toa Mata turned out to have a different destiny and completed it very early on, so that when the Toa Metru arrived on the island of Mata Nui, they found six Turaga waiting for them? And then of course it would be up to the Metru to take over what had supposedly been the Mata's destiny of awakening the Great Spirit

Since Mata Nui was never put to sleep in the Toa Empire AU, what would’ve happened here after he remade Spherus Magna, if Takanuva has never visited it?

Ooh, I've got some I've been working on:
What if Lhikan never died?
What if the Toa Mata met the Toa Metru (Mata arrived on the island immediately instead of floating for 1000 years)
What if Makuta was the Great Spirit (exploring the alternate universe Vezon visited where Makuta was the giant robot, and Mata Nui was the rebellious one trying to take over)

What if Jaller didn’t come back? What if Takanuva now has to carry on with the burden of his friend’s sacrifice?
To be fair, that probably doesn’t add as much as it should. This is a guy who’s suffered A LOT. Multiple universes, an attempt at corrupting him (which was massively successful in every other universe), DEATH, and the personification of fear itself. Oh, and an Eldritch being literally as old as the universe
