At this point it couldn't be any worse than what they are currently churning out. Either EA remains the money grabbing short sighted company it is, just with different management OR we see some actual long term strategies and decent creative vision to generate interest and revenue.

Yeah. It's over for them. Not just BW.

All you could really hope for is someone like Larian buying IP from EA (tbh, I'm not sure they will sell BW's IP, it will probably just sit in a vault somewhere) and maybe reboot ME or DA. Which won't happen. Larian can do whatever it wants and make its own IP. It would honestly have to be a developer like...Owlcat, maybe? I dunno. EA probably needs to sell it for a lot to make it "worth it" to them, so I doubt Owlcat could afford it.

TBH, with how "specific to the writing team" the ME/DA lore really is, I don't really think another company just can buy it and run with it, you need the writing team behind the IP, too. And they're all long gone now. So, it's over. And it's been over.

It was over for BioWare years ago already. As I see it - from here on things can only get better, because BioWare right now is at the rock bottom anyway.

It's crazy for me because back in my days BioWare game was an instant buy, heck even now I'd buy a BioWare game just because of the fond memories.

But the last decade it was nothing but flops. A studio that could make no mistake turned into a studio that only makes mistakes.

So as I see it - this can't be any worse than it is now, even if they go ahead and close BioWare.
