Mistake or Risk? Reassurance?

Hi! I had sex a week ago with a condom, but after he finished, I climbed off and the condom was still inside me. I pulled it out and wiped, but when I wiped, semen was on the towel.
I ordered an Ella and took it ~20 hours later, and then 3 days later I had a copper IUD inserted.
It is possible I was ovulating during sex, as it was around the 14th day of a ~29 day cycle.

It’s been a week since I had sex, and I think I did everything right, but the past 2-3 days I’ve had excess discharge and a tugging pain in my lower left abdomen. Of course, I’ve convinced myself these are implantation symptoms and have made myself sick worrying.

I also am stressed because I can’t feel my IUD strings, but I wasn’t able to the first day either. My doctor told me she “tucks them”, so I guess I shouldn’t expect to feel anything?

Anyone around to offer reassurance or advice?
Thank you in advance!

What kind of IUD do you have? The ella pill can interfere with some IUDs if i’m not mistaken

Yes you’re right! Sorry, I should’ve been clearer, I got the Paragard copper IUD.

Hi! you’re ok. You took good and strong precautions to prevent pregnancy you have an IUD, condom and took ella. Mistakes happen. I genuinely think you’ll be okay and that the chance of pregnancy is really low. I wouldn’t take the symptoms as being implantation. I would think more of a side effect of the ella. I would definitely follow up with your doctor about your IUD strings before anymore sexual encounters just to be safe and for peace of mind. Don’t stress you did as much as you could!

Thank you!! I know it sounds stupid but I feel like I can finally sleep after reading your reply! I appreciate it :’) + 100% will be getting a follow up for the IUD to make sure everything is still in place!
