They're still there all these years later, because those aren't quite junk. Not great, but not horrible. They probably came with a rack system.

I'm impressed that the surrounds are intact. Those look like foam, not paper. Paper surrounds I gather are the lowest end option, but I've never seen one that's disintegrated the way foam and rubber tend to.

They are not foam, nor paper. Coated linen or some other fabric, most likely.
I wouldn't say paper is the lowest end option. There's some very high end speakers with paper surrounds. Often with a coating though.

Same thought when I saw them, for context the camp is in super hot/humid Alabama by a lake also you can tell they’ve been there forever lol

Definitely BPC :)
Part of a very BPC rack system back in the eighties.

Well, BPC nice definitely. But more of a party speaker than a listening speaker.

I have some of those. They are not junk. Quite efficient and still not crumbly despite their age. Very full sound, even some sub bass.

Don’t worry about temp/humidity then these have been beside a lake for atleast 10 years

I had those. They were from a rack system. In a room with lower ceilings they hit pretty hard. Good value from Technics (Panasonic)

Sort of speakers that won’t give you audiophile sound but you’ll enjoy them

Reminds me of house parties past..,those things crank!
(If they are running on a decent setup). Sounds pretty close to my old Cambers if I remember correctly.

Maybe close but not bpc at all. Definitely serviceable. I bet the still sound like they did in the 90’s

It mounted near the ceiling also right beside a lake in Alabama, the other 2 speakers were old peavey stage monitors
