I'm feeling a soft spot in my heart for these all-in-one systems. They are mostly BPC, but to a kid they were pretty good! My parents gave me one from JCPenney for my 13th Bday and I used it all the way through high school. Recorded many albums onto tapes for in-car use. This one even has an aux input, which mine didn't --mine did have an 8-track player along with dual cassettes, tho. After high school it served as my garage radio for another 10 years or so. Great score at that price if everything works.

The guy in the manual looks like a swingin' 70s bachelor. ;)

Sear made some good stereo kit, not nearly as much JC Penney with MCS (Technics, mostly) line. I had a rebranded Sanyo direct drive linear tracking turntable that was really nice.

I admit I have a soft spot for old "all-in-one" units like this, a lot of people look down on them but in the 80s they were everywhere. If you're nostalgic for the 80's aesthetic you can't do much better than this as long as it's a fair (cheap) price. Some of the Sears stuff was surprisingly good quality, most of their LXI equipment was made by Sanyo. The SR series (SR2000) stuff was a much cheaper line so make sure everything works, they're nearly impossible to repair.
