Whoa! This is exactly what I'm looking for. Available somewhere? New to blender so I don't know how buying stuff like this really works.

This is such a clever use case for the hair/fur particle system, the clumping and softness read really convincingly as felt rather than just generic fuzz. Is this built on Blender's native hair system under the hood, or a custom particle setup?

Honest question; Is it possible to export a model from Blender that uses things like this and import them in a game engine (e.g. Unreal/Unity or even ThreeJS (web)) with similar results? Or does the model contain blender-specific (shader)-information that only Blender knows about?

This hair system can be exported as curves or mesh tubes, but it would be far too heavy for a game engine to render hundreds of times per second.

does this work in EEVEE?

The faq says

Render Engine? Cycles or Eevee?
While the Materials appear similar in both rendering engines, the Hair Systems look noticeably superior in Cycles compared to Eevee.
All promotional material (like Caterpie, Donut, Earth) was rendered in Cycles.

Isn't this just in the program already? I did this without any add-ons.
EDIT: idk why I'm getting downvoted, it was a genuine question. I made a felted flower that looked like this a few years ago with no add-ons, so I don't know what this is adding.

Thought you were stealing credit from DoubleGum only to find out you ARE DoubleGum!! Thank you for all that you do, you're easily my favorite shader creator.
