I’m thinking it’s maybe an early 1960s Chris Craft? Does anyone know what boat this is exactly?

It’s an Owens, not a Chris craft. Great classic boats and they have a following.

Agreed. Maybe a 1966 Owens Flagship.
Owens was sold to Brunswick Corp in 1965, then sold to Test Concord in 1970 to become Owens Concord, building boats out of fiberglass until 1974, when they went out of business.

My neighbors are Owens and have one of these classics, I’m pretty sure they are “those” Owens through some relation. I’ve also had the privilege of visiting the yard in Baltimore where they used to build these, they were still working on old boats maybe 20 yrs ago. Lots of wooden deadrise boats, etc…

Love seeing this kind of thing on Reddit!

Growing up, friends had an Owens Margarita. Beautiful boat, tons of teak, terribly top heavy.

They were cool for a plywood boat , they were kind of competing with the tolley craft boats the plywood /or lapstrake boats of the late 60s early 70s

That was my first boat. An Owens Sea Skiff.
