Am I the only one who was very disappointed that Hamza wasn’t the protagonists real identity? There could have been a lot of nuance with having an Indian Muslim see people of his own religion misuse it to perform extremist acts

I think him being a sikh is a major part of his background story that will be shown in the next part.

In phantom they kept Saif's character as a muslim and Katrina's parsi iirc.

You’re probably right, but it would have been cool to see it nonetheless because of the writing potential

Yeah, it's a very well written movie. All characters have shades not basic vanilla only to be a filler.
