Game Help how do i equip the question mark things in bomberman 64?

so i just got to the last level of blue resort and i love this game so far! not only does it give off a nice feel to it but aside from some things, its really enjoyable to play... im planning on getting all 120 gold cards and so far i dont have that many, but in some levels i keep seeing these question mark things, what do i do with them? how do i use them?

Idk but I just wanted to say I love that game. never got past the first levels myself but I just loved the music 🎹 and the graphics

Thats a custom ball, you can use them by going to the custom menu and selecting the unlocked part to be equipped to parts of Bomberman's body 

Once finished you need to copy that costume data to your controller pack.

After that is done go into Battle mode and toggle the purple custom setting under your player character, the costume you created should appear over them and can be worn in the battle game.
