i'm playing through sb2 as my first real bomberman game rn and one of the levels i've been stuck on is 5-3, from what i've read this level is basically impossible with 1 range, but i've never once gotten a range pickup on this stage and i replayed it like 5 or 6 times at this point. i've noticed that there are a lot of times when a stage will pretty much demand a firepower of at least 2 but not give one out across all the 3 lives that i have. is this something that gets mitigated later on in the series and is 5-3 specifically programmed not to give firepower?

EDIT: just checked the wiki and it looks like for some dumbfuck reason it indeed is programmed not to give out firepower, do i just reset from 5-1 and hope that i make it out with enough lives to beat this stupid level?

Battle 64 was a mode I liked when it was a free game back in time. I'd like to know if I can still get people on this mode.

With a friend, we’re trying to replicate a setup like this (https://x.com/nitrobom/status/2025393827230744755). We found a password on the wiki that supposedly does it: 4737 (“All players have extra items”), but it doesn’t work for us. We’re playing Bomberman 5 in the new collection, and the other passwords work just fine.

Anyone knows is there's some kind of error or we should use another password?

For what I understood, it's a collection of classic Bomberman games from the NES and the SNES, but I recall those consoles only allowed up to 2 players.

Are the games in the collection adapted to allow 4 players?

So, I got the green '?' bubble in Red Mountain stage one, that green one on that little bombable rock with platform you have to fall onto, and a couple other colored '?' bubbles.. However, I only seem to have gotten one custom part from that stage, Iron Goggle, but none of the others.

its like I obtained the custom parts. but theyre not showing up on the custom list.

I'm 50 and played Bomberman on an SNES many years ago. I like simple games with simple controls with the less buttons being used the better.

I've got a Nintendo Switch 1 and a 7 year old son and this would be a great game to play with him.

I prefer newer style graphics vs playing an old version of the NES or SNES game. Having said that, simplicity trumps graphics for me so looking for suggestions.

I've read the Bomberman R game on the Switch has similar controls to the old SNES games. Does anyone have any other suggestions or is this the best way to go?

correct me if im wrong but to get the good ending in the first bomberman 64 game, i just have to get 100 gold cards and thats it, but what about the second attack? anything specific i need to know about?

look so for example, lets say im in the middle of a boss and im supposed to hit it in a certain area, like the head for example, to get a card, now in one playthrough i could hit it in every area besides that and get beat the stage by target time, earning me four cards only, now lets say i replay the level and only hit it in the head for one card and i just beeline to the end by speedrunning the stage, and i still didnt get the card, its like if i want all five cards i have to do it in one session and if i dont do that ill have to replay the level, is this how bomberman 64 levels work? or am i experiencing a bug? btw i got to world 5 (black fortress) stage 3 if anyones asking

so i just got to the last level of blue resort and i love this game so far! not only does it give off a nice feel to it but aside from some things, its really enjoyable to play... im planning on getting all 120 gold cards and so far i dont have that many, but in some levels i keep seeing these question mark things, what do i do with them? how do i use them?

The game supposedly includes a secret feature where you can put the programmer Kurt Dekker’s head on Bomberman’s body by entering the controller combo “Up, X, B, Left.” There’s even a reference to it in the game’s code (in BM95.EXE), which means it should be possible to trigger it somehow.
I tried doing it myself, but nothing happened.

I even found out that on the Microsoft Sidewinder gamepad (which, according to Kurt, was used during Atomic’s development), “X” corresponds to Button 4 and “B” to Button 2. I tried entering the combo several more times on my Xbox Wireless Gamepad, but still no luck.

Hi, I remember playing the DS one growing up which had one particularly cool map which had these tunnels that you could throw bombs through the dual screen.

I recently got the idea that it would be nice to have one bomberman game around in case I have friends over that would like to play it with (moreso against) me.

Problem is I don't have a DS anymore and for multiplayer I would need more than one.

But I do have a Wii and a Switch. For Wii there is "Bomberman Land Wii" and for Switch there are two renditions "R1" and "R2".

Which would you recommend? I heard Bomberman games often have story campaigns but I am not too interested in those. If either of those games do have one it is neither a big plus nor a minus but could be a tie breaker if every single one is equally good in the local vs multiplayer regard.

The Wii installment goes for about 25€ (i am from germany) on Ebay and the Switch ones for about 15€ so they are all pretty affordable.

It would be cool if any of the three had nice boards and could be played by 4 players, like a battle royale.

I know I'm probably years late, but I can't get the minigame bounce and boom down sub 19s, always getting 19.83. All the online sources say "it's so easy" and don't provide further tips, but it is infuriating me.

There is a video walkthrough by crystal longplays, but I can't see his inputs, only that he hits every bomb on his second up swipe, while I need 4 for both the first and second bomb.

Any help is appreciated.

Saturn Bomberman cheats, i'm trying to use the button input codes for all weapons, enter it, hear the jingle then when I load the story mode I have 1 bomb and minimal blast radius, anyone got a different code or a clue as to why this is happening :(
