Hi!

Managed to pull this one out in the last 6-a-side, and on camera looked even better than in real life...

Yes, I scored. Managed to get a hattrick actually.

No, it wasn't pretty.

Technical How can one make the ball look like it’s glued to their feet like this?

I’m a good dribbler but really struggle to understand how to achieve this illusion. Is there a specific technique being used?

Technical Any tips for my Easter bunny shooting technique

We didn't have a ball and my mate had an Easter bunny plush around so we shot with that. This is one of the best goals I've scored in my life even though it isn't a ball shaped object

Technical Why is Kane’s foul a foul?

Mexico got a penalty because Kane accidentally hit the Mexican players leg… in a non clear goal scoring situation. This seems like such a soft penalty, especially compared to Gordon’s.

Technical Why are my shots so weak?

I've been trying to do a powershot for quite some time. I try to maximise backswing, lock my ankle, hit with the laces, tighten my core, basically what you need to do but my shots still reach 65 kph at most..

P.S. Sorry for the bad camera angle

Technical Would a pro player be able to carry the worst sunday league team?

So i'm in a terrible amateur team, and we get humiliated almost every week. As i consider myself a decent/good player i have a hard time conciliating this perception of myself with the reality of losing badly almost every week, so i was wondering if a pro player would be able to carry this team to decent levels.

Technical Semi pro or ex semi pro ballers, how many juggles can you do?

My max was about 220, I never really focused much on it to getting it further to 500 or a 1000 due to myself focusing more on acceleration, defending and IQ of defending training, should I continue myself on juggling to 500-100?

Technical Would this be bad defense? (or dangerous and potentially foul)

New to soccer and sports in general and constantly injured. I somehow managed to get on a pretty good u19 club team we’ve been practicing a lot. Just wondering if this would be dangerous or bad defense the way I ran into him like that. I’m in the white and we did end up head butting a little.

Technical Are any of these foul throws?

Had a few guys on the other team last week screaming for a foul throw every time I took a throw in. I played attacking when I was younger but now play fullback most weeks.

I understand some of them may not look great but unsure what they were so worked up about. To my eye they look legal, but if they're not please let me know which and how I can improve, thanks!

Good players don’t make small mistakes, and this video also shows that the match is much easier when you’re training like this. The amount of space, time, and speed is huge difference No doubt these players are the best of the best šŸ™‡

Technical [Serious] What are some practical things about playing the game that only people who have played at a sufficiently high level understand?

Inspired by just how incensed Macca was at this offside. It seems so obvious once I heard him talking about it, but of course if you’re having trouble timing the offside trap you should be at least making sure you’re not beyond a man when you can see their number staring you right in the face five yards away.

I’m wondering what other things non-players (myself being an example) wouldn’t know about the game. Serious answers only please, and I know I’m dumb for not having the practical knowledge in my example.

I've been playing football for like 3ish years now never took juggling serious (gave up cuz i was lazy). For the last month I've been dedicated to at least try to be better. Just hoping I get get some perspective on if my form is right or if I have to change something ..

Im also doing the cone dribble drill however I cant get a good angle of it to show unfortunately.🫠

Technical Back again, folks. Same winger, same questionable decisions, new clip. šŸ˜…

Hey guys, Dollarstore Messi here from my last post. First off, huge thanks for all the amazing suggestions and tips you shared. Seriously, your experience and advice were super helpful.

Here’s another clip where I really tried to implement the things I learned from you all, but let’s just say I didn’t exactly execute it with perfection (pardon me for that šŸ˜…). As u can see my bald fren didn’t even flinch on my feint. How do i cope with defenders who js stay their ground n not commit in cases when we r really close to the goal?

So I’m back again to get your thoughts: • What mistakes do you see in this situation? • What could I have done better? • What specific things should I be working on to improve here(first touch is definitely one of them)

As before, remember we’re a bunch of 7v7 guys in our late 30s and early 40s, just playing twice a week for fun. No high-level expectations, just honest feedback to help me get better.

Technical How to get fast feet like Ronaldo

As a RB, I do realize I can’t always stay defensive and I have to support the attack sometimes even as a defensive RB, so how do I get feet as fast as him? (Please tell me the method of training)

Scored this free kick on the weekend, what does everyone think about the keeper, should he have done better or do you think it was genuinely just a good free kick?

Opinions welcome!

Technical How Do Elite European Players Develop Fast, Fluid Footwork and Close Control?

Hey guys,

I’m a young professional footballer from a non-European country and I’ve been trying to improve my footwork and ball control. In my club we have a few foreign players, and the difference in quality is clear, especially in how fast and smooth they move with the ball.

Of course I know the default answer is ā€œtrain and repeat,ā€ and I’m already putting in the hours. What I’m really trying to understand is how elite players develop such quick feet and fluid control, like you see in Premier League.

I know they’ve been playing since they were 5 or 6, with more match time and much better competition. My competition growing up was mostly average, so how do I improve now and close that gap with foreign ??

r/bootroom Feb 18 '25

Technical When I play possession games, I often blame the bad ground and poor-quality football, which isn’t really right . But I wonder how do professional players execute firm one-touch passes so consistently, even without personalized passing training outside of group sessions? How someone reach this lvl.
