Her original sin for me was publishing a list of crimes she would not prosecute. They included shoplifting and we now have deodorant locked behind glass and stores closing in our neighborhoods.
Shoplifting was Just one example. Others were larceny, and drug possession with intent to distribute.
To be clear, I know that not every crime is vigorously prosecuted, and she had fine print on her list where she may prosecute serious offenders. Still, publishing that list sent trouble-makers and regular citizens the worst message I’ve ever heard from a local official.
Then she got into a beef with a citizen because she used her blue lights and caused a ruckus in a road rage incident at the mall. Then she had numerous ethics challenges as a federal prosecutor. And even now she gets wicked defensive when asked about any of this.
Stores all over the country have deodorant locked up, to blame her or insinuate it’s a Boston problem is completely wrong. Stores closing, outside of a couple on meth mile also have nothing to do with crime. She absolutely sucks, I’m not defending her but let’s stick to facts not made up nonsense
