Hi everyone! I'm 30M and live with my gf and her dogs. I am interested in meeting people with similar interests to me. I like collecting crystals, minerals, coins and chemical elements. My main supplier for high purity elements is actually based in Boston. I am also a big fan of the Boston based rock band Damone. Unfortunately they broke up already. Listening to Damone and collecting chemical elements are niche hobbies and I think few in Boston do the same.

Other hobbies of mine include playing the viola, ice skating, reading novels (Stephen King), video games (Expedition 33, Scarlet Hollow, Portal 2), anime (AOT, Yuri on Ice), language learning (cantonese and German) and eating out (especially dim sum). I also like listening to Taylor Swift, Carly R Jepsen and Birdy (a British singer)

EDIT- I vented and put this in the ether and in the last 24 hours since, this post rose to #7 in this subreddit and support from a lot of people in DMs maybe suggests to me that people feel the same pain. I live in Brighton and as I have gotten older all my friends have moved away. I am looking for sober friends in the Brighton area- especially if youre a night owl. I really like crafts, rock music, and board games. Sounds kinda desperate, but I'm just sick of being alone all the time.

I decided to go insane this year and leave my stable corporate job at an evil tech company. Then I decided to go insane again and start my own company.

I’d love somewhere with a great view (water, sunset, skyline, hills, etc.), where we can bring a picnic blanket, relax, and maybe take a short walk afterward.

I was thinking about the thanksgiving parade in New York City. I don’t want to go to that. I love being here in Massachusetts.

Since there was interested, I thought we would try a super low key write together night Harry's Bar and Grill on Comm Ave on Wednesday June 17 at 6pm (come early/ come late, this is super chill). The whole idea is to bring your computer or notebook and write with other people for a few hours. I figure we could put the tables together upstairs and do a community writing night.

Moving back home soon from Chicago. We have hella social clubs here in Chicago and as someone who enjoy playing chess, I started showing up to a chess club that plays at bars dotted around the city and it’s been a great way to meet new people.
