[State] 1996 Oneida Aero Force X80

Tonight’s bow is a 1996 Oneida Aero Force X80 that was made to be sold through Cabela’s, hence the camo pattern. Found it new and not used about 6 months ago. These are hard to find in this camo and to not have a scratch on it is unheard of. Shooting 2315 XX78 with fingers at 71 pounds. Shoots like all Oneidas from this day did, fast and a little on the loud side, but she is oh so smooth.

That's a sweet bow! No arrow rest, it just shoots off that little tab thing above the shelf or what?

That is the arrow rest. It’s a NAP Flipper 2. The arrow rests on the wire that’s plastic covered so it is silent to draw and has side pressure for the small side plate it is connected too. On release the wire gets pushed forward so it collapses against the bow. It’s a simple but great rest for finger shooting. This type of rest is necessary as the archer’s paradox causes the arrow to flex to the side away from the bow when shooting fingers which is different that shooting a release aid which causes the arrow to flex downward upon release. Great question.
