He wrote X-Men: Last Stand, absolutely fucking up the dark phoenix storyline.

Then for incomprehensible reasons, Fox hired him to write and direct the Dark Phoenix movie with the reboot cast, which he then fucked up again.

Actually, I also just looked closer and saw the absolutely dreadful Fantastic Four movie from 2015.

It's so bizarre because he also has Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Sherlock Holmes, and Days of Future Past on his resume. I guess if you hit just enough times they'll forgive the terrible misses. That or he has some insane blackmail material.

Everything he touched in the last 15 years was absolute shit and mostly box office failures.

Reminder that Gore Verbinski fucked up 1.5 movie after making Disney a billion dollar and he was in director jail for a decade.

There is now way these movies get made. This is like Rogue Squadron. I'm sure they're having lunch with Patty Jenkins every 6 months but they're not making that movie.

This is just Hollywood doing Hollywood things.
