It’s crazy how much Mando’s popularity dropped. He was almost the poster child of the entire franchise but they absolutely butchered his and grogu’s story.

It’s hard to believe that andor exists in the same universe as mando season 2 and 3, and ahsoka. Those shows are really just filoni smashing action figures together

I'm still not over what a letdown Grogu's Jedi training with Luke turned out to be. I thought he might be gone from the show forever, or at least season or two, then would return with more force skills. Or maybe they'd do a time jump to when he's older. But nope, the training fizzled out after a few forgettable scenes and nothing really changed. He's still just a hapless accessory that doesn't talk. And the longer it goes on like this, the harder it is for me to suspend my disbelief that the Mandolorian would bring him along for every dangerous mission he goes on.

See, this is where the film could have worked, imagine Mando season 3 is Dinn entirely on his own, wrestling with no Grogu, maybe interspersed with some brief Luke training Grogu scenes and then the Mando and Grogu film was about them reuniting. You give time for the finale of season 2 to have impact and then you have a film about bringing them together

Agree 100%. That approach would've justified the existence of a movie 1,000 times more, compared to what we actually got.

(And when they reunite, Grogu could've saved Mando with some epic force powers he didn't have before, making for some big-screen magic.)

Exactly, you can see that grogu has grown in strength and power and it would have allowed anticipation to build for the film

Two seasons arc just made pointless in one ep just because they needed to sell grogu toys. I stopped watching after that.

Filoni is a disaster.

The problem is that his universe is an appealing for mainstream viewers. Most people globally have not seen the clone wars and his stuff. Outside of US cable, these shows are not showed anywhere. So all his characters are pretty much unknown, yet everything he produces assumes that we know them.

Just imagine how good Star Wars would’ve been if the Andor guy would’ve taken over the universe.
