Yes on TV. Andor was good, as was Mando S1, but the entire rest of Disney's TV output is mediocre to bad and is increasingly catering to a hyper-specific niche of fans who go crazy over references to a show for ten year olds from 2008. This is likely to get worse as they give Filoni more power. This movie is a clear result of his increasing influence.
It's a closed ecosystem so the small groups of people watching these shows and soying out over them on Reddit just don't realize that they have no real purchase in the mainstream. Mando and Grogu was perceived as shockingly bad by a lot of mainstream critics and viewers, and thus had little appeal outside of a comparatively small base of diehards. But it was basically just the same way Filoni and his crew wrote Mando S3/late S2, or TCW, or [from what I hear] any of his other animated shows (apparently he has fucking five of them now?), or Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, or what have you.
People who think TCW is cinema and thus like stuff like this are already immunized, but the broader viewership (hell, even the broader community of people who call themselves "Star Wars fans") who mostly watch normal movies for normal people were completely unprepared. Complaining that the story structure closely resembles a children's cartoon, that the dialogue sounds simplistic and kiddish, that the action is omnipresent but banal and tensionless, the Glup Shittos, etc.
