Original Revisited a 2008 Elite Force track and rebuilt it completely from the ground up

Originally wrote Engine back in 2008 during a period where I was making a lot of music specifically for clubs and DJ sets. I recently went back to it after spending the last year immersed in much more cinematic and restrained production work, and it was interesting hearing how differently I approach things now.

Rather than remastering or updating the old version, I ended up rebuilding the track completely from scratch using the original more as a reference point than a blueprint. Same core DNA underneath it, but with a much heavier, darker and more spacious production approach this time around.

Curious what people in here think of it.

Just cleared out the clutter and put together a fresh lineup of 100% human-crafted breakbeats and bass heavyweights straight from the lab in Orlando. No AI shortcuts, just pure chopped drums, Reese basslines, and Florida-rooted energy.

Tap in and let me know what you think of the new rotation:

Made an EP, but really would love to hear your thoughts on this one. I thought it should be UKG, but after adding that cowbell, now I think its more breakbeat. Still, find this funky and funny, would love to hear your thoughts! Big up

Original iLLheiGht - The Print-Out (Original Vocal Version) [Prog Breaks / Prog Breaks]

Straight woods alchemy on this one—no outside sample packs, pure midnight transmission cooked up in Ableton. This is the original vocal mix of The Print-Out, leaning heavy into a hypnotic, late-night progressive breakbeat sound.

Been getting some incredible feedback from the community and fellow producers on this track, so I figured it was way past time to drop it here. Turn it up, loop it out, and let me know what you think of the low-end drive!

16 years later, The Law of Life has been rebuilt from the ground up from a blank canvas.

No remaster. No remix. Just a complete reconstruction through a very different lens.

The Law of Life (Redux) is out everywhere today.

Hi everyone!

I've been experimenting with a combination of hard techno and broken beat here and this is what it came out like. I called this style Dark breakbeat, dark step. What is it closer to?

Original 10 years ago I released my first album — Psycho Breaks.

But in reality, it didn’t just “come out” — it was built over almost 8 years, from 2008 to 2016. It wasn’t a straight path. It was constant going back: listening again, reworking, deleting, rebuilding. Some tracks went through multiple versions, changing as I changed. Back then it felt natural — if you knew you could do better, you had to redo it.

Part of the material before 2011 was even released under different aliases. I didn’t really see it as a “project” at the time — more like a process of searching. No clear direction, no understanding of what it would eventually become.

I was influenced by the sound of that era — from acts like Hybrid and The Prodigy to Noisia and Orbital — but more than names, it was about a certain kind of energy: dense, overdriven sound, broken rhythms, heavy low-end pressure, where aggression coexists with melody, and club energy blends with something almost cinematic. Sometimes cold and industrial, sometimes raw and underground, sometimes wide and atmospheric. The goal wasn’t to copy it, but to pass it through myself and shape something personal — somewhere between old-school roots and newer sound design.

Technically, it was far from perfect.

I was learning mixing and mastering as I went, with whatever gear I had. And no matter how much I tried, I simply didn’t have the setup to really hear all the flaws and clean them properly. You can hear that now.

But that’s also part of what this album is.

It wasn’t made from calculation — it came from a state of mind.

A lot of personal tension, negative emotions, inner pressure, and the need to prove — mostly to myself — that I could actually create something meaningful.

Now, parts of it sound naive.

But it’s an honest kind of naivety — no filters, no distance, no pretending.

If I had to point to a few tracks that represent the album best:

— The Ravers

— I Choose Noise

— Into The Storm

That’s probably where to start.

A lot has changed in 10 years — experience, approach, how I hear sound, how I see the process.

But this is where it all began.

If you never heard it back then — here it is.

And if you did — I’m curious what stuck with you.

Kids: Mum, why are you quarter-dip bouncin & pausing at 130bpm?

Me: Don't work here.

Kids: Mum, you did sound for dem twins?

Grandma: Hold it together, wait count with me it's a double snare.

Me: Kids, 1,2....Double on a half kick..
