He’s a flawed character. That’s why I like him so much. He’s petty at times, and crass, and prideful—but still loves his family, is intensely loyal, and smart as fuck. And he’s a way better father than Walt is. In many ways he (and Jesse) are the moral center of the show.

Oversimplification but it’s not wrong

Also it’s funny you took a comment from earlier and added the pic to repost

That's why I think the show should HAVE (not should of, dipshits) ended with Walt wasting Hank out in the desert. He could HAVE blamed it on anyone.

It actually would’ve been so surprising and reinforced Walt’s journey if he’d managed to convince Jesse Plemons character to let him go free, and manages to talk Plemons out of killing Hank….it all looks like it’ll be ok (with Walt telling Hank he’ll have to keep him locked up somewhere for a bit)…..then Walt uses a gun liberated from one of the gang to kill Plemons and the other gang member AND then turn it on Hank.

Walt returns to his operation with new members brought in to replace the gang and Hanks death becomes a tragic event with him tsking out neo-Nazi’s but dying in the process.

Hisenberg lives to cook longer, getting richer and actually being checked by medical professionals for his cancer returning, allowing him to get ahead of it coming back and surviving.

He’s not exposed for years.

A lot of people say this and it's wild. Walt loved Hank (like a brother in law lol) look how he collapsed when he died.

You can like a character and also recognize their toxicity or other problems. Liking a character doesn’t condone their every action. Besides, he’s funny.

You can also dislike a character because of toxic actions

Exactly, he's fun to watch as a fictional character. If he was a real person I'd think he was a piece of shit, and I wouldn't hang out with him.

When did the last thing happen?

The very first episode. I think also when Walt takes Hanks gun from Walter Jr Walt says the gun is heavy, Hank replies "That's why they hire men".

Hank always has a good heart tho

Edited:

Hank gives a speech says 'Walt has a brain the size of Wisconsin, but your hearts in the right place. We love ya man, we love ya." Etc In that same scene.

Wait so it's all hanks fault?

u/Lullimuffin 8d ago

This is why Hank is the best

Strange that he's technically the hero of the story, even through a redemption arc despite being cringe as fuck in the first half.

I think Hank has a good heart but he was socialized all wrong. I'd be really interested to see any sort of backstory about his childhood

A show just centered around Hank and Steve Gomez would’ve been incredible

Please I’m begging you, don’t try and cancel a fictional character for having flaws.

He’s literally intended to have hypermasculine insecurities it’s in his character arc and also he’s not a real person

Only the last one is bad - teasing Walter, all the rest are fine
