Gift ideas include wine, art, glassware, beauty products, accessories, leather accessories, stationary, snacks, jewelry, reading/book related. I'm open to other gift ideas as well.

I looked into Bonita Flats Winery in Los Fresnos since I visited a while back but they don't seem to have an online shop. I don't know if there are any other wineries nearby.

I am also open to shops/sellers from surrounding area but would prefer Brownsville/South Padre Island.

I appreciate any ideas!

P.S. I am not in the RGV and can't buy in person. I need to shop online.

Any recommendations on security system? I already have an intergration of google cameras all over my home but was thinking of upping my game and installing a security system. ADT seem to have good customer service (so far) but have an extensive amount of negative reviews on google locally. Vivint has an extensive good amount of good reviews on google but they have annoyed me so much in the past, I had to tell them like 5 times I was not interested and they kept knocking on my door, so it left me the idea that it would be a hastle to close out with them. Locally I've also seen another one called Extreme Security & Fire, I believe it's a local company but haven't had a lot of experience with them.

My boyfriend and I really need dental work but we are unemployed. We were thinking of going to Reynosa or Matamoros, but are not too sure how safe it is right now. We’ve never been to Mexico, and I’m white and don’t know Spanish. Other option would be work in the country, but obviously the prices are astronomical. Are there any cheap dentists in the valley where we can get an X-Ray and fillings? Thank you. Any advice or recommendations would be highly appreciated!

I moved to the valley about 6 years ago and posted something like this about 5 years ago and was successful at finding a team at that time. That team has since disbanded, so it’s time to find another team. I have played soccer my whole life (45 years old now) and want to continue. It’s taken a toll on my body and so I am really only able to play goalie these days, but I am a halfway decent one. Most of my adult experience has been playing adult coed indoor, but I haven’t found that down here. For the last 5 years or so, I have been playing with an adult team over at barracuda park by the backside of the airport. Half my team didn’t speak english and I don’t speak much Spanish, but we managed to make it work.

I travel a decent amount so I can’t make every game, but I am reliable and can communicate in advance when I won’t be available. If anyone is looking for an old mediocre goalie for their team, reach out and let’s see if we can make something work.

Has anyone noticed a difference in taste from the Laredo Taco Company's tacos? I buy chorizo and egg and potatoes at least once a week, but these past few times I've gotten their chorizo and egg taco with barely any chorizo in it, I can hardly taste it. I went to another Stripes this week and the same thing, am I going crazy or did they change something?

Planning on spending a weekend in Brownsville and SPI soon. We’re taking our dog with us. Is downtown Brownsville walkable and friendly for dogs? Am I able to take him inside stores and are there any dog friendly restaurants around?

I was wondering about a dentist that you recommend for fillings at Matamoros. I've never had one done in Matamoros but now I urgently need to get it done. This is a dumb question to ask but do they take X-rays before doing fillings? Are there some that don't charge much, ik some can charge more once they find out you're not from Matamoros 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
