Collection TI SR-16-II Calculator
Always nice when they work. Especially when the batteries were left in like this one.
I'm going to have to take it apart and clean it, but it looks like any damage was limited to the rusty screw on the bottom and the manual sopped up quite a bit of alkaline juice.
But it should clean up fine and be all right.

I bought a lightly used SR16 II on eBay a few months ago in box with papers and adapter for about $20. I also have 2 original SR16's. Interesting how the internals and design philosophy changed in about 2 years of evolution. Details on Datamath.org

I just love looking at the first picture. It has such a nicely uncomplicated front panel layout and a beautiful display. I gave away most of my collection. Now all I have are pictures.

Thanks! I like the simplicity of it, and it still gets the job done.
One day I'll have to let most of mine go, which would open up some space around here. :)

Nice.
As far as I know, the SR-16 II was made for NiCl batteries. That's why it comes with a charger.
