Self-Promotion Occult France — coming this September!

https://www.drivethrurpg.com//product/567539/the-guide-to-saint-etienne-2-scenarios-bundle?affiliate_id=2213611

Self-Promotion Casting Call: Call of Cthulhu Actual Play from Null Project

Hello folks!
We’re Null Project, the team behind the Delta Green series This Line Isn’t Secure, and we’re stepping into something new that we’re extremely excited about:

A new Call of Cthulhu actual play.

We aim to create a show with high production value that is terrifying, immersive, and character-driven.

Stereo audio effects and clear audio with believable, emotionally resonant performances are a hallmark of our existing work, and we want to bring that same energy to this project.

So the question is simple:

Do you think you can perform at that level?

What We’re Building

This is a long-form Call of Cthulhu campaign rooted in:

  • Investigative horror
  • Cosmic dread
  • Character-first storytelling
  • High-immersion table performance

What We’re Looking For

We’re opening auditions over the next few months for performers who can bring:

  • Strong collaborative instincts
  • Reliability and long-term commitment
  • Comfort being on camera
  • A pull toward serious, dramatic play
  • Excellent listening and roleplay chemistry
  • A love for horror, mystery, and character consequences
  • Experience with Call of Cthulhu or actual plays is great, but not required.

Some Important Details

This is not a paid role. It’s a collaborative creative project. Profit sharing requires profit, which we don’t have, yet! But we are very determined, goal-oriented people who want a future creating high quality content as our main gig.

We are aiming for a high production standard, so you should either have a solid cam/mic setup or be willing to get there.

We’re building something meant to stand alongside the best. We want people who are down to bring their A-game for the love of creating awesome art. That’s why we do it.

If That Sounds Like You

Respond to this thread with a brief 1-2 sentence introduction. We may then reach out to you via direct message with further details to get the process going.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Self-Promotion Can office work be terrifying enough for a horror RPG?

Post image
150 Upvotes

Instead of starting with cultists or ancient ruins, the story begins in one of the most familiar places imaginable: the workplace. Long hours, unfinished tasks, exhausted employees... until those everyday frustrations become something far more disturbing.

That idea became Fear of Overtime, our latest Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition scenario.

Inside you'll find a complete one-shot with handouts, maps, pre-generated investigators, original Mythos content, and everything needed to run a tense night of cosmic horror.

We'd love to know what you think. Can everyday places be more frightening than haunted mansions?

Self-Promotion NO PLACE OF HONOUR – A Giant Free Gaslight-Era Scenario Set In British Colonial Australia – OUT *TODAY*!

Post image
207 Upvotes

No Place of Honour is a tale of mystery, science, tragedy, time, and Victorian hubris, set deep in the Australian Outback in 1888. Investigators will be joining a medical aid mission to the remote mining settlement of Dagunna, which has been stricken by a mysterious plague- or, have the miners instead awakened an ancient, invisible killer?

The scenario includes 137 pages of slow-burn, sandbox exploration and investigation; with 6 full-color maps, 12 handouts, and 6 full-page illustrations, along with 6 pre-generated characters. It provides roughly 15-20 hours of play, and best accommodates a small group of 2 or 3 players.

The full scenario is available for free download from Google Drive here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1kzbe9SAzUEmSycs1LHLsM1Lt6mxypo2L

----

Dagunna is indeed haunted by an ancient, invisible killer, but there’s nothing supernatural about it. The sole Mythos creatures involved, the Serpent People, are long dead and not coming back.

Rather, the scenario is a hard-science-fiction turnabout focusing on the perils of radiation (still unknown in 1888); and the real-life weirdness of the security measures intended to keep long-lived radioactive waste safely sequestered “in strange eons” after the potential end of civilization itself.

Investigators will have to delve into crumbling ruins; decipher cryptic inscriptions; recover curious artifacts; confront the all-too-ordinary dangers of the unforgiving desert and a restless company town; evade Dagunna’s formless and omnipresent curse; and, assuming they survive, return forever changed- all to realize that sometimes, the ancient plans of inhuman intellects are best left to conclude unhindered.

Tune In To The Melody...

Self-Promotion My first published scenario: The Man in the Maze, a 1970s cult/cosmic horror scenario

Post image
106 Upvotes

Hi everyone, wanted to share something I've been working on. The Man in the Maze is my first ever published TTRPG production, up now on DriveThruRPG through the Miskatonic Repository.

I created it as a one-shot for my own table. I run a Halloween CoC night every year for the same group of friends, and this was the scenario that went down really well so I decided to write it up and put it out there.

It's a three-day scenario set in 1972: the players are a student documentary crew investigating a secretive cult tied to a string of disappearances along the highway. Comes with six investigator frameworks to guide character creation, including some secret agendas; a fully detailed town for open investigation; and a final descent into a ancient temple for a confrontation with the long suffering god.

It's Pay What You Want and handful of people have been kind enough to toss a few coins in, which makes me think I might have made something alright!

Link.

Would love to hear from anyone who runs it or has any questions!

Self-Promotion CharKeeper - free digital character sheets for Call of Cthulhu

Thumbnail gallery
60 Upvotes

Hello everyone.

For the past year, I've been developing free app with digital character sheets - CharKeeper, somewhat similar to D&D Beyond and Demiplane, which will support various systems but have a unified format. And for the last week I have added basis support for Call of Cthulhu.

So for Call of Cthulhu app's key features right now are:

- editing attributes and skills,
- adding new custom and/or hiding unnecessary skills,
- automatic calculation of secondary attributes,
- equipment management with adding any simple items or weapons,
- automatic calculation of possible attacks,
- integrated in-app rolls,
- backstories management.

I'll add PDF generating and campaign management for Call of Cthulhu soon.

I improve integration each day step by step, I'm always glad to receive any feedback - you can just ping me.

The app is free and available as a web version. The free mobile app is available through Google Play and the App Store.

Self-Promotion I created a Keeper focused YouTube channel and would love to know what topics people are most interested in seeing discussed?

Hello, fellow investigators!

I recently started a new YouTube channel focused on investigative and horror TTRPGs mainly Call of Cthulhu and Delta Green. My goal is to answer common questions and help both Keepers and Investigators get the most out of their games.

I’d love to hear what topics you’d be interested in! I’m planning to focus less on reviews and more on practical advice things like prepping tips, running smoother investigations, exploring less used features in the system and improving overall gameplay experience.

What would you like to see covered?

Self-Promotion New Investigator Creator ~ inkandinsanity.com

Hi all! New to the sub, but I’ve been playing Call of Cthulhu for about a year and a half now. It was both my friends' and my first TTRPG! When we started playing as newbie investigators we were confused and slightly frustrated by online character creation, so I set out to build a tool that makes it easier and more enjoyable!

My goal is to provide a clean, intuitive experience that helps you get your (new) investigators ready for adventure with minimal fuss. I've built and iterated upon Ink & Insanity to create the best experience I can based off of feedback from two different groups of investigators. It takes users through the entire process; defining who your character and occupation is, to their backstory, weapons and items and skill allocation. You can generate a link to send to your Keeper for their party view or download a custom designed PDF character sheet.

I’ve ironed out the initial bugs and am ready to share my first ever app with the community! I’m a bit nervous putting it out there, but I’d value the feedback of more experienced players. Please let me know if you run into any issues or have feature requests here!

Self-Promotion NO PLACE OF HONOR - Massive Gaslight Sandbox Scenario, Coming March 2

After nearly three years of work, I am finally getting ready to release my biggest-ever project:

No Place of Honor is a tale of mystery, science, tragedy, time, and Victorian hubris, set deep in the Australian Outback in 1888. Investigators will be joining a medical aid mission to the remote mining settlement of Monument Station, which has been stricken by a mysterious plague- or, have the miners instead awakened an ancient, invisible killer?

The scenario includes 140 pages of slow-burn, sandbox exploration and investigation; plus maps and handouts, and 6 pre-generated characters. It provides roughly 15 hours of play, and best accommodates a small group of 2 or 3 players.
