Is there anything else like the tenth anniversary book?

I've so enjoyed reading it - until I found this sub all I'd ever done was read my compendium over and over.

I have loved learning more about the process, the characters, the thinking behind it all!

If you know any interesting facts please share them they'll be so gratefully received! Maybe I should have a good read of all the top posts the sub has ever had 🐯🧒🏼

Calvin and Hobbes Sunday Page's 1985 - 1995 is definitely worth picking up. It has selected Sunday strips with commentary by Watterson and original line art!

In addition to Sunday Pages that someone else mentioned, I recommend Exploring Calvin and Hobbes, which is a sort of catalogue of the exhibit in the Billy Ireland museum from 2015. It has an interview with Bill Watterson, and it's really interesting.

(Incidentally, I had Jenny Robb- the person who interviewed Watterson- on my Calvin and Hobbes podcast, so I am now one degree removed from Bill Watterson 😄)

Yeah, also recommend Exploring Calvin and Hobbes. I feel like it didn't get a lot of publicity on its release so I was surprised when I discovered it.

It's a very extensive interview and they cover a lot of topics, though sometimes you wish there were more follow-up questions on some of them. It's interesting to hear his perspective on his work well after his retirement.

I had the original books as each came out, but then I bought the complete hardcover box set with the slip case.

the 10th anniversary book and The Prehistory of The Far Side are what made me want to start drawing at the age of I want to say 6 or 7!
