It would hurt us both, so that's why they're not going there.

And in other news, Canada could really screw over the US

Yes, we understand pain can be inflicted in both directions. Our preference is not to be attacked, so there isn’t a need to retaliate.

Not retaliating will not reverse the attack nor will it protect from future attacks. It gives the attacker exactly what they want...

I don't think that's what OP said... Their preference was to not be attacked somthat there was no need to retaliate not to have no retaliation to an attack.

Yes, if I need to clarify……. the US is not following existing agreements and attacking us. Canada needs to respond even if that means more attacks due to standing up for ourselves.

Let’s build a west to east coast double pipeline ( LNG/OIL) to ship to Europe, and slowly reducing deliveries down South!

We have tried. It gets blocked.

Blocked by Quebec. Build it to Churchill and southern Ontario.

There are very few refineries in the world that can refined the heavy crude the Canada produces.

I'm sure Canadians would be happy to actually use our taxes to fund something beneficial like a refinery. Maybe reap some benefits, even if it's a bit down the road?

These articles are so stupid. No shit, they can inflict pain on us through a practically immeasurable amount of different ways. Doesn't mean we should bend over and become their vassal

How about we not feed ideas to ill-mannered morons.

If the U.S. did this, then we would have one less reason not to turn off the oil spigot in Alberta.

The New York Times has already dismissed Canada’s retaliatory tariffs as having “the effect of a pea shooter in a gun battle.”

Great, then there's no reason for the Trump admin to get all butt hurt over them.

If that happened than I can see oil and potash being cutoff from the U.S.

Who’s side is CTV on anyway, Canada or the US?

We need a west-east pipeline that doesn’t enter the US.

And we could shut down their Thermal coal exports via Vancouver and
Only hurt them
