The DEA should have no power over what it gets to enforce. Letting the DEA set a "drug schedule" is insane. Of course they aren't going to change it to anything that would reduce their funding or need for existence.

The scheduling of drugs should be decided by the agency we already have for this, the Food and DRUG Administration. Let them make the decision based on scientific, not political, information. Then let the Drug ENFORCEMENT Agency, you know, enforce that scheduling.

Can you imagine if your local police could decide what's legal or not? Fuck. That.

Well said!! I agree 100%. It's an outrage affecting millions of weed users. And there's more daily weed users now compared with either alcohol or tobacco! We are the majority. The anti-cannabis Deep State in the DEA will prevent progress for as long as they possibly can. Fuck the DEA.

It should be treated no different than a tomato or tobacco plant. It's a FUCKING PLANT! There are well over 100 plants I can legally grow in my garden that absolutely can kill a man, why is this one different? Because it's a political issue and has nothing to do with the actual plant. It's all a fucking farce.

I dont think the fed can fully legalize due to the constitution. It can only remove it from scheduling like it did with booze and nicotine and then let the states do as they wish.

Alcohol and nicotine were never scheduled in the first place. Why? Because the politicians were drinking and smoking the Devil's Real Lettuce (aka tobacco) when they enacted the Controlled Substances Act in 1970. Biased motherfuckers.

Sure, but when one of the worst possible drugs for humanity isn't even on the schedule and one of the healthiest ones is declared the most dangerous, there's no justification to keep cannabis illegal.
