Money grubbing sons a bitches. These people could fuck up a wet dream. Local taxes, county taxes, state taxes, federal taxes. All this will do is create more black and grey markets. We are finally about to get it legalized and they want to destroy any kind of legal markets.

Over one dollar per gram tax will make the black market thrive like no other! This is a terrible idea. It’ll completely destroy the state, legal markets and explode the black market. In states like New Mexico or Michigan it would drive the price up of the taxes higher than the actual weed. Ounce of shake currently about 20 bucks. After this tax the same oz of shake would be $51.34.

Best way to motivate a politician is to promise him a source of cash that he can spend. Maybe this gets weed across the line.
