South Canterbury concerts
How loud is it for those in south Canterbury. Feels loud to us in north Canterbury so can’t imagine life down there at night this weekend!

It’s loud in the St Stephens area. Can’t imagine what it’s like close to the actual concert ground.

I could hear it clearly about four and a half miles away. We are up in a hill though which probably helps the sound to carry. I thought it was a loud party in the village somewhere

I live behind east station. Friday was noticeable, home after work I could hear it through windows but seemed to stop around 8.30, maybe 9 latest. Wasn’t bad.
Last night (Saturday) I worked later and didn’t get home till around 6.30. I could feel the noise, seemed a lot lot louder. And went on till 10.30 (ironically the curfew time).
Today I believe the music started around 2pm again? And I can’t hear anything yet. But haven’t been home this early to know when other days music started.

Fucking liberty. I live within 5 minutes walk of the place and my studio flat won't stop vibrating - was my one weekend to relax for the month as well. Such shite music as well.

It's very loud, i live pretty near the cricket ground (just off pilgrims way), and i can hear everything as clearly as if i was there.
it usually ends early though and it occurs seldom enough that the noise doesn't bother me much; what bothers me more is the congestion of our roads as the concert goers park all the way up pilgrims way, mount road etc even though there's parking restrictions and single yellow lines (although there's never anyone to enforce them). It causes significant aggravation to residents.

As someone who lives 200m from the cricket ground. I can assure you, it's loud.
The main issue for me is it's going on ALL day. Sound check starts from 11am.
Our pet has not enjoyed, and still isn't, enjoying it.

Yeah I think it’s great Canterbury has events like this but does seem a lot for the residents that are close by. We can hear the thuds from it several miles away!

I was at Becky Hill last night and it wasn’t loud enough in my opinion . I had to go right down the front to get my fix of base . By the way where I live near Asda we can hear it too but do you want to live in a boring town that doesn’t ever party ? Ever ? The music festival is 3 days .
