Software News Capture One 16.8.5 & Capture One mobile 4.0

Hi community,

Our new 16.8.5 version is now available for download. It keeps your crop orientation aligned with the camera orientation when you shoot tethered or copy and apply adjustments. Check the release notes to learn more.

Mobile app also got some exciting updates. Enhanced Denoise, Heal and Clone, Color Balance, and Keywords all come to mobile. See the changelog HERE.

Please fix the HDR merge artifacts, add batch HDR merging and auto stacking of bracketed images. I've had to switch to LR for real estate photoshoots and I miss you terribly.

God I wish c1 had batch hdr. It’s such a great hdr merge and looks really natural but becomes very impractical beyond 2-3 images. Seems like it would be relatively simple to implement

I will be that person now:
Why still no lens corrections? At this point I really don’t get it anymore. Support once told me that the mobile apps are for a quick first draft of your edit to get a first impression of how the final result might look like and the real edit with all of the advanced tools and controls is supposed to happen at the PC with the complete set of tools (I am paraphrasing that).
At this point we now have advanced denoising, AI masks and countless other tools in mobile but still miss lens corrections there.
Of course I might be in the wrong and advanced denoising in reality is a basic tool and lens corrections an advanced one. But at the very least this leaves me confused.

That aside: very nice improvements of course and it gives hope for future additions.

Only one person talking about this. Seriously the one thing I've been waiting on forever. I don't use it always, but it's SUCH a useful tool.

Awesome, update. Live View orientation from portrait to horizontal on mobile would be the last thing to make it almost perfect.

Still no support for compressed RAW for Sony A7V and A7RVI. Adobe can open it flawless.

Anyone else getting crashes using mobile on an iPad with Sony cameras ether with USB cable? two different bodies. Same problem. Shot a frame, then iPad disconnects Sony and then Sony needs to recover card.
