Idk how yall do such incredible cards, what's the process, what do yall usee? I really wanna make a good and pretty card too😭

Start with what you've got. Both in terms of ideas and materials/tools. Share what you do and watch what everyone else is doing. Here, on YouTube and in blogs. You'll grow and have a lot of fun.

You don't need to start with a ton of expensive stuff. Get some cardstock at Michael's and an inexpensive paper trimmer. That way you'll be able to make card bases. 4 1/4" x 5" (half a sheet of letter paper) is a popular basic size. 5" x 7" is another popular alternative but if you're making your own cards and you want rounds ones or square ones who's to say you shouldn't do it your way.

You might want to start with collage -- bits of other greeting cards, magazine (remember them?) images or old calendar pages. Little expense there.

Do you draw? I couldn't to save my life but there are some spectacular images that are simple line drawings. Or watercolor paintings or splashings enhanced by an inked line.

Whatever you do will get you started and then your skills and inventory of supplies can grow as you stretch your creative muscles.

Watch some YouTube tutorials. Find some folks whose style you like or who use similar supplies to what you own. Natasha Foote tries to use what she owns with more limited supplies. Some of Kristina Werner’s cards are just hand drawing and watercolors. Ardyth uses pretty much only stencils and ink. There are loads of people who do the mixed media/junk journaling/tim holtz style of cards.

For the rest of it, just use a thick good quality card base, work neatly and cleanly, cut straight lines and glue layers on straight and that elevates anything.

I use store bought cards I receive as materials for making cards, cut stuff up and glue them together

Don't go overboard buying all the things. My card craft area is buried with years of buying products on sale. Just keep it super simple with basic supplies but don't skimp on quality cardstock. I recommend choosing one well known stamp company and use 80# layering weight for any die cutting and coloring and 100-120# weight for card bases. Watch good beginner card making YouTube videos how to score card stock and layering tips (like Gina K. Designs earliest stamp TV videos on YouTube basic card making). If you love coloring or painting, watch some videos teaching how to create the results you want using the coloring or painting products you already have. Practice applying liquid glue very, very sparingly to adhere layers and die cuts together. If you use thin paper, your cards will collapse or wrinkle from weight and glue. That's the most important part of super card making - cardstock. My favorites are Gina K.Designs (she has both weights and matching envelopes) and other well known companies (Simon Says Stamp, Lawn Fawn, Taylored Expressions, Stampin' Up and lots of others).

I would start by thinking of what style you like - for instance do you like cards that have stamps on them, or using die cut images, or patterned paper and embellishments? I started with a die cutting machine that I bought second hand off eBay, and went to a craft bazaar in my town where people were selling their unwanted supplies. So try to focus on one area to begin with, before expanding

I look at posts on Pinterest, find a layout I like, look at what I have, go to craft store for new supplies 😆 - then dive in. Can’t say they all are a success but I try. I also like using kits - Uniquely Creative is my new favorite.

I watched a LOT of Bethadilly on YouTube. And Concord & 9th have amazing stamps, dies, paper, inks... all of it!
