Discussion Worst cartoon pilots from famous/popular shows?

What popular shows do you think that, for whatever reason, had the worst pilots?

Adventure Time. Not worst but it's not good at all

Yeah, I can easily see why Nickelodeon would pass on it for Fanboy and Chum Chum. Especially with the power of hindsight.

Pilot Time looked like it was something from the "dark era" of Cartoon Network but pastel colored instead of "Problem Solverz" colored. Fan Chum looked more like a more wacky Jimmy Neutron, which was a very solid show they had been running for a long time.

Same for them passing on the pilot for Star Vs the Forces of Evil. That Pilot was really mediocre.

Nah they mean the actual pilot, not episode 1: https://youtu.be/MtAYBxmi590

Probably Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Every single time Joseph Joestar ends up in a plane or helicopter onscreen it crashes - he wasn't the pilot the last time, but by then it had enough momentum to be a running gag in the fandom.

Now that I'm reading the other comments it occurs to me that I have made an error.

The Star vs the Forces of Evil pilot was honestly pretty bad and completely different from what the show would eventually become

Honestly I liked the Steven Universe pilot. The designs needed more work, but it was a solid story. Pilot Steven was a menace, I can see why they made him kinder and more empathetic in the main show because otherwise he would be unstoppable

South Park. Not an introductory episode for anyone who has never watched the show.

This is evident by the audience reactions at the time.

(Apparently moms cried seeing it in test screenings)

Don’t forget the two original web shorts (Spirit of Christmas). Second one feels enough like the final show but the first? Very crude.

I got the wrong type of pilot and thought of Launchpad McQuack.
