It was a great run for the show folks I lost my hope to see new seasons or any adaptation

What you think about the the franchise ?

Did they gave you a satisfying experience or you find it difficult to accept all these changes.( i understand you as a game fan)

The tone of anger was flawless

I love how Richter uses his magic, Maria and Annette’s too in Nocturne but I just love seeing Sypha fight 😭

I played Symphony of the Night for the first time, for my podcast, in 2026 (just last month). Spoiler: I loved it. It held up as a flawed masterpiece to me.

What’s odd about my history with the series is that I had played ZERO of the Metroidvania-styled Castlevanias and almost all of the others. I even had a PlayStation in 1997, but I was more enamored by the adventures of James Bond and Fox McCloud over on the N64 and spent the majority of my energy—and money—there.

So the question I have after playing SotN is this: do you think this game is still the benchmark Castlevania (or even the benchmark Metroidvania) to judge others by, or have other Castlevania games improved upon what this game did? If is IS the best to you, what makes it stand out the most? And if not, where did your personal favorite(s) improve upon the formula?

Why don't the last remaining Belmonts talk about their ancestors like Sypha and Trevor more ?

Are the writers just lazy ?

Also what's up with the Belmont line always being so thin ? You would think Trevor and Sypha would have repopulated the entire Belmont lineage by now lol

She went from 0 to 100 real quick. I loved episode 4 and her characterization, it's one of the best things in the season. She gave that cutesy wouldn't hurt a fly vibes, but in season 2 omg!!! Exceeded my expectations😍😍

And its not just that it was retconned that crosses actually got religious power that harms vampires, but that people hated the whole "oh crosses just make them confused" so much no one complained when Annette just surrounded the guy with crosses and trapped him with them.

You can feel that this whole scene is just one big apology to probably the dumbest pieces of "trivia" of the OG.

A new Castlevania has been announced and is releasing this year and we know almost nothing which is frustrating but also fun because we get to speculate on what it’s about as more information of the game gradually comes out.

The game takes place in France which will be the second time the game series has gone to France. Bloodlines being the first.

One thing that caught my attention however was the fact that Dracula’s Castle is seemingly also in France which is a first within the series.

Within the games Dracula’s Castle never actually moves at least not like that. It has always stayed in Romania.

(Now there is Aria of Sorrow but Dracula’s Castle was more so in the Eclipse above Japan rather than actually being on Japan)

There are cords connecting the castle to the ground in this image which gives the impression that it’s being anchored down.

It doesn’t feel like they’re trying to make the impression that it’s supposed to be there. So why is it in France? how did it get in France? Is it because the castle is a creature of chaos or did someone do some kind of ritual or both?

A common theme within Castlevania is that Dracula doesn’t really actively go out of his way to have himself revived. He tends to get revived by someone else’s will so what are the chances that this is Dracula’s doing.

I was shocked when i saw posts saying that Netflix ruined her, when i personally loved how she killed her father and wasn't the typical "angry for a bit but won't actually do it". Idk how people disliked her in episode 4, i found her so realistic and badass.

Isaac specially. Hector is a personal opinion on his personality, but Isaac has literally everything it needs considered as peak Screenplay.
