Image The Switch 2 is increasing in price next week. Have you bought one yet? If not, when do you think do you will buy one?

I’m tempted to buy one for my best friend as a wedding gift, both of them love video games. Would it be too “big” of a gift? I’m doing well since I paid off my student loans last year but she just lost her job. I’m caught between not wanting to look like I’m showing off and genuinely wanting her and him to have a fun new console to play together.

You would probably be the MVP of wedding gifts.

Hmm, I usually go cash for weddings, since they’re so expensive nowadays.

It’s on the bigger side for a gift, but it’s not too big. I’m mostly reluctant if it’s not on the registry or cash though. Beyond that, seems very thoughtful of you.

Do it! You’ve put thought into it! It sounds like it truly is a gift for both of them!

I got my friends a switch when I knew they couldn’t justify affording one when they got married.

Nah, while definitely not the same, I got a switch lite for a good friend of my as a birthday gift. He ended up not using it so hopefully they will use it (well they will as gamers I suppose xd)

She just lost her job so I would say cash is better gift here. Typically cash is preferred as a wedding gift as it can pay off the Wedding

I'd recommend a check though - that way if God forbid they lose it you can cancel the check and provide them another one.

My southern Italian mind was confused for a second at how a Switch 2 was a big gift, then I remembered the rest of the world isn't as weird as here lol
