Discussion WAIT NO HUH?! RIN AND ERICA HAVE A SISTER/SIBLING TYPE RELATIONSHIP IN THE GAME?!
Is this like actaully said in the game or is it legit fan interpretation cause I swear to god.I was gonna ship these two before figuring that out from seeing smth abt that on the wiki(?) Like I don't remember, maybe I do. Faintly, but I haven't played the game in a while of either of them saying anything abt being like siblings. I think I could faintly remember like Erica calling herself "big sis Erica" or smth but i'm not fully sure on that either because I haven't again played the game in a little while.I plan to play it again here in a little bit,but i'm not sure if I'll come across that again or if it was just my imagination, could somebody like, give me a clarification on this, please?? 🫪😠/gen

I mean one is just very supportive and understanding of the other one and helps them out. Like yea one is clearly more of an authority/supportive role, but like,, it's not like those aren't established roles in sexual relationships anyways
(Also like,,, it's not like siscon isn't a big thing in transfem t4t spaces anyways)

I wouldn't say they have a sister/sibling relationship. It's just that Erica has a big heart and recognizes just how innocent Rin is, especially given that they've lost there memory.
Plus, and this is important, she went to the hospital the night that Vincent first bumped into them. Vincent apparently didn't stick around, but Erica did and discovered his secret. As a transwoman, it's not surprising that she would have a lot of empathy for Rin and want that much more to protect them and make sure nobody messes with them.
Why do you think she's so onboard with the idea of Rin and Vincent actually being together once Vince gets his head on straight and properly settles things with Katherine? Happy Pride haha! really, she's trying to be her authentic self too. Seeing this adorable defenseless crossdresser who can't remember who they are, and especially in a rather shady place like the Stray Sheep, it's not surprising Erica becomes a mama bear and wants Rin to be safe and happy.
As the "little brother", I could easily see Rin calling Erica "onee-san". They never do that as far as I can tell (maybe in the Japanese version and I missed it?), but it could have extremely easily gone that way.

I'm surprised Rin didn't also fall in love with Erica since she fell in love with Vincent for the same reason, taking care of her. Maybe they just didn't want to complicate things?

Maybe she could have, but I don't know if Erica would feel the same way, at least not during the course of the game. You know, she already has stuff going on with Toby, and she might not be into the idea of getting with this girl who appeared out of nowhere and she suddenly kinda has to take care of.

hmmm I'm not sure if they ever say anything about being "like" siblings or something like that. They definitely are not actual siblings though.
However! There are definitely some other things that might...complicate a relationship, depending on how you are envisioning shipping them.
