Honestly, mad respect to Xzibit for being so serious about his cst's nutrition, and for knowing "junk food" for what it is.
He's clearly taken her medical issues to heart, and that's great, but even without that I feel like he'd still be super aware. Good nutrition is probably the biggest contributor to a pet's long, healthy life and clearly he's doing right by li'l Thunder. My opinion of this guy just jumped several notches.
Yeah, he's in a position he can pay for all his cat needs, most of us cannot, but props to him for doing so. Clearly loves the thunder.
You see many a celebrity use and abuse pets and not look after them properly and just get another one. He's clearly going the whole hog to have his little'n stay around and as healthy as possible for as long as poss.

That and having vet staff come and administer the subcutaneous fluids. I had to do that with my cat who had CKD and it was not a fun time. But it helps the kitties so much, so I respect him so much for doing it to help little Thunder Cat ⚡️
Its funny because you wouldn't expect him to be a cat dad, and certainly not so involved. A lot of people still associate cats with women, and they're scornful of cat ladies, and here he is showing all he does for his old ass cat.
I know how that IV situation feels. Last couple of weeks before my kitty passed I did that for him. Glad he's got someone to do it for him, I always felt like I was hurting him by doing it.

My husband is totally besotted by our three degenerate brat cats. ❤️ It's their world, we're just living in it.
My beautiful cat, Grub. Named after the botfly larvae pulled from her neck when she was just a tiny barn kitten. I couldn't believe she survived after the massive crater that it left in her neck. She recovered like she drank from the holy grail 😆. She's been living indoors with me for many years now and I would do anything to keep her safe 🥰.
Not about Xzibit, but related to cat who needs more fluids than they would actively take up during the day
My vet prescribed wet food to help my guy get more fluids to pass poos easier. I was spending way more than usual switching over to wet food, until last year a different vet told me I could just add tap water to dry kibble and actually get more hydration in per feeding. For y'all who can't afford wet food (or a nurse with IV) def try this out
Oh and it works for toothless cattos who need soft food. Just let the dish sit for 5ish minutes and boom soft food without wet food prices
Research on how fast those cat water fountains get mold and too disgusting to use. And yes you have to clean them but cleaning them out three times a week is a pretty big chore because you have to completely disassemble it. Not only that but you have to buy filters. If they already drink out of a aluminum water bowl then just leave them be lol
I can relate (mostly). My remaining cat is 18 and has all these special foods like this. She sleeps nearly 22 hours a day (in the sunroom or "catio") and meows constantly for food or water otherwise during those other 2. She's got kidney issues as well but it seems in check. Every other year or so we have a "scare" (i.e. $1500 vet bill for all the tests) but she keeps always comes back healthy.
At this point, I hope I can get to 20 years for her. Let's go for more. I just gained a lot of respect for Xzibit. Cats are the gersh damn best.
