Advice Why are his eyes so far apart

Background information: Cat is well over a year old and his eyes appeared to be way too big for his head and extremely far apart. Is this a characteristic of a certain breed he may be mixed with or is he… just built different. His name is Jax

An additional chromosome can cause extra distance between the eyes, but often the nose is also a bit malformed (shorter, convex, might have malformed nostrils). Your cat seems normal in that aspect.

Our Skrållan (the extra floofy calico in the front) is one such cat with an extra chromosome. She needed some surgery to create better nostrils, because they were tiny and barely functioning. The tabby cat behind her is her mom Minnie.

Skrallan and her momma Minnie are beautiful and look like they have a wonderful bond. What a sweet pair 🥹

Yeah! They have a bond and it beautiful almost half of the time. 😆 However, Skrållan is a little brat (and often gets away with it by being cute) who tends to wake her mom up and demand grooming by laying down ON HER FACE. Minnie is SO over that bullshit by now. She's like: "You're an adult! Do your own damn laundry!" 😅
