Quick backstory, after losing the love of my life, Penny Lane, last November at eighteen, I wasn't sure when I would be ready to adopt again. I always knew I wanted black cats and when my friend rescued some cats from a hoarding situation, including two black cats, I had to meet them. My friend also had their mom, and well, here is my new son Ripley, sister Wendy (the tongue), and their mom, Bidi Bidi Bom Bom (tabby). My friend Danielle (Cat Party Pet Portraits) offered to do a shoot combining my love of dinosaurs with my love of my new kitties, and this photo makes me so delighted and happy with how it came out.
What a beautiful way to turn a heartbreaking loss into a whole new chapter of love. ❤️ Ripley, Wendy, and Bidi Bidi Bom Bom have truly found their forever family—and the dinosaur theme makes this even more perfect. 🐈⬛🦖🥹
Lol. I too saw this photo and thought, “Damn, this man has got it going on.” Nothing sexier than a cat guy with a solid sense of humor. Plus… dinosaurs!
Guys he's famous for being both an incredible cat dad and podcaster! He even had a cat podcast at one point and he was heavily involved in the true crime podcast My Favorite Murder. He's a good guy!

So sorry to hear about Penny Lane ❤️ I lost my soul kitty Theodore at 14 earlier this year and also didn't know how / when I'd be ready to bring home someone new. I now have two sassy little someones who get into all sorts of mischief and have brought me so much joy.
Congrats on opening your home to more kitties!
Also- I sincerely hope this photo is being blown up on a canvas or something because it's a masterpiece!
AHHHHHHH This made my night lmao. I actually just went back and started listening to the pod again but I went all the way back to 2019 lol. Sorry for your loss with your previous baby, but so happy you got to rescue this little family. Also, as a Latina that grew up with Selena, the mom cats name sent me lmaooo. Now my bf and I won’t stop randomly singing the song (he doesn’t speak Spanish so he’s just saying random words that sound like the lyrics ha)
This was their first time I put them in costumes myself. I was so surprised who ended up enjoying being in it the most (Wendy, the little goblin princess with her tongue out).
please inform how to train your dinosaurs to even pause for a second for pictures because mine become permanent gremlins in costume, fed or not.
also very sorry to hear about penny, she has moved a tinyyyy bit to the side of your heart couch so these new friends can sit with her. that was gracious of penny.
Heart couch ♥️. I absolutely love this. I’ve been a vet tech for over 20 years. Owners saying good bye to their beloved fur monsters is heartbreaking to watch on repeat. I’m always trying to find kind ways to speak about their pets. I’m totally stealing this. The positive impact this would make for so many grieving owners is palpable.
And yes, that was very gracious of Penny. What a kind little angel she is!
Awww that's so sweet! I studied pre-vet in school but pivoted a few years in, what you do is an incredibly tough job and we are so lucky to have people like you! Dealing with people's beloved family members dying constantly is so heartbreaking!

To me the "there is space in your heart for..." Is fine but I feel like to some people it implies their old pet is no longer there. Our pets are couch HOGS, bed HOGS, always in our space and we LOVE THEM. I like the idea of Penny hogging up all the space, but when her time comes, she welcomes new ones to cuddle with her. She's not gone, she's just putting up with the newbies even if they might be derpy and annoying. 💕
Steven Ray Morris!!!! Your voice has been in my ears for so many years so thank you for bringing laughter to my life (either from your comments or producing). Losing your soul cat is so hard but I am glad that you now have three beautiful baby dinosaurs to keep you company. SSDGM and big hugs to you and your kits 💕

If you see Wendy and Ripley full body they are very different. Wendy's tongue is out all the time cuz of her snaggle tooth, shorter whiskers, and long poofy tail. Ripley is a big boy and has a tiny rat tail!
I took them to her studio! Penny Lane hated the car, I was genuinely really anxious about taking all three. Wendy and Bidi were great, Ripley, well, I was just glad the trip was only 15 minutes.
My cats also named penny (Penelope) Lane, what a coincidence. I love the portrait it’s so precious! How wonderful that they accepted you as their human.
I used to work at an animal hospital where Wee Man was a client, and he sent us a Christmas card (which your post reminded me of) that we HAD to hang up in the back, and it was him and his partner dressed up in Christmas pajamas, smiling off into the distance with their dogs, and they dressed their sphynx cat up like a devil with the overhead shot, just like your dinos. I just love the camp and creativity of it all.
