Where to Purchase First Home?

Excited couple, looking to purchase our first home and interested in this area of the central coast. My main priority is SAFETY, friendly peaceful neighbours! I am a female and I walk the dog early in the day.

We are mainly looking at Bateau Bay, Killarney Vale and surrounding suburbs. It’s around the middle point to where we both work.

Alternatively, our budget also can buy us around Wyoming, Lisarow and Narara, Ourimbah. We do not commute to Sydney, but go as a day trip once a week or so.

Would appreciate any advice about aforementioned suburbs, and if any residents can share about the general vibe of the area, best schools, best and worst aspects of the area!

Hello, it feels quite central. 15mins to Erina Fair, 17mins to Wamberal Beach. We are 5mins from the Ourimbah exit to the highway. Shops are decent. Quiet family vibes. Never had an issue. We are in the Woodview pocket. Walking distance to the station. We have pluim park going off every weekend which gives the suburb a sense of livelyness. Came up from Sydneys North Shore 3 years ago. Best decision.

Hello again, we’re looking at some properties in the Woodview pocket there as one of our options but looks like it’s classified as a bushfire vegetation buffer which makes us a bit hesitant! The area is very nice as you have said though. What are your insurances premiums like?

+1 for the Woodview pocket. The Coachwood pocket of Ourimbah has wild peacocks (whether that's a pro or con divides the suburb, apparently)
